  • Patent number: 10209995
Abstract: A processor core supporting out-of-order execution (OOE) includes load-hit-store (LHS) hazard prediction at the instruction execution phase, reducing load instruction rejections and queue flushes at the dispatch phase. The instruction dispatch unit (IDU) detects likely LHS hazards by generating entries for pending stores in a LHS detection table. The entries in the table contain an address field (generally the immediate field) of the store instruction and the register number of the store. The IDU compares the address field and register number for each load with entries in the table to determine if a likely LHS hazard exists and if an LHS hazard is detected, the load is dispatched to the issue queue of the load-store unit (LSU) with a tag corresponding to the matching store instruction, causing the LSU to dispatch the load only after the corresponding store has been dispatched for execution.

  • Patent number: 10150022
Abstract: A kit and method for playing and providing training for a golf-type game comprising at least one ball, at least one throwing apparatus such as a throwing rod, and at least one target unit, wherein golf-type game is played similar to golf, except that instead of golf clubs, a throwing rod advances a ball towards at least one target. Further the target unit is a container that contains a weighted granular substance. The throwing rod is operable to enable a player to grasp the rod by a handle, retain the ball between a pair of elongated, arced rails, and throw the ball with a whip-like motion over a long distance towards the target, much the same way as a driver used in a typical golf game. Further, the throwing rod is also adapted to enable the player to putt the ball towards the target for shorter distances.

The threshing apparatus includes a plurality of screw auger conveyors arranged in upper and lower planes that receive the crop and urge the crop into diminishing space between adjacent auger conveyors, the space defined by the auger flighting and the expandingly tapered auger shanks. Kernels are separated from the cob as the ears are urged rearwardly in the threshing apparatus. The header may include screens and the like for cleaning the grain of chaff prior to transferring to on-board storage or chaff removal may occur after the grain is off-loaded from the harvester.

  • Patent number: 9465744
Abstract: A technique for data prefetching for a multi-core chip includes determining memory utilization of the multi-core chip. In response to the memory utilization of the multi-core chip exceeding a first level, data prefetching for the multi-core chip is modified from a first data prefetching arrangement to a second data prefetching arrangement to minimize unused prefetched cache lines. In response to the memory utilization of the multi-core chip not exceeding the first level, the first data prefetching arrangement is maintained. The first and second data prefetching arrangements are different.
