  • Patent number: 7593820
Abstract: The present invention relates to X-ray crystallography studies of a human Janus Kinase 2 (JAK2) domain. More particularly, it relates to the crystal structure of a JAK2 kinase domain bound to a inhibitor. The invention further relates to the use of the crystal and related structural information to select and screen for compounds that interact with JAK2 and related proteins and to compounds that could be used for the treatment of diseases mediated by inappropriate JAK2 activity.

  • Patent number: 7584472
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing call signaling messages during burst overloading and sustained overloading of a communications switch include processing that begins by receiving a plurality of call signaling messages, which may be call set-up messages, connect messages, call proceeding messages, call release messages, release complete messages, and/or link layer information. The processing then continues by comparing a queue occupancy level of a call processing queue with a first queue occupancy threshold. If the queue occupancy level compares unfavorably with the first queue occupancy threshold (e.g., the queue is storing more messages than desired), call signaling messages are enqueued into the call processing queue based on the types of the call signaling messages. For example, dispensable call signaling messages are enqueued in a LIFO manner while indispensable and essential messages are enqueued in a FIFO manner.

  • Publication number: 20090194456
Abstract: A front opening wafer container including an enclosure portion and a door. A wafer support system is provided including a pair of spaced apart cantilever wafer shelves, each wafer shelf including a pair of opposing inclined ramp portions. The ramp portions are cooperatively positioned and configured so that when the wafer is received on the shelves, the wafer is supported on the ramps at a lower peripheral corner of the wafer, all other portions of the wafer being free from contact with the wafer support system. Each wafer shelf may have a generally concave upper surface and the incline of the ramps is continuous with the concave upper surfaces of the wafer shelves.

  • Patent number: 7571344
Abstract: A first appliance for ensuring data integrity in network memory is disclosed. The first appliance includes a processor and a communications interface that communicates over a communication network with a second appliance of the network memory. The processor determines whether reconciliation between a first peer state information in the first appliance and a second peer state information in the second appliance is needed. The first peer state information and the second peer state information track the status of data in the network memory. The processor determines an action to reconcile the first peer state information with the second peer state information based on a positive determination that the reconciliation is needed. The processor then performs the action to reconcile the first peer state information with the second peer state information.

  • Patent number: 7553537
Abstract: A product 10 has a position identifying pattern 16 on it, the pattern comprising first and second positional components 24, 26 arranged to identify first and second positional coordinates x, y by means of their reflectivity at different respective wavelengths. Each component 24, 26 has a reflectivity at its respective wavelength that varies with position on the product 10 so that its reflectivity at a point is indicative of the position of that point, the pattern further comprising reference markings 34, 36 arranged to identify a fixed point in the scale of reflectivity of at least one of the positional components.

  • Patent number: 7535895
Abstract: Technology is disclosed for directing data through a network switch. One version of a network switch employs a mid-plane architecture that allows data to be directed between any link interface and any processing engine. Each time slot of data from an ingress link interface can be separately directed to any ingress processing engine. Each time slot of data from an egress processing engine can be separately directed to any egress link interface that supports the lower level protocol for the data. In one version of the switch, each processing engine in the network switch has the ability to service all of the protocols from the layers of the OSI model that are supported by the switch and not handled on the link interfaces. This allows the switch to allocate processing engine resources, regardless of the protocols employed in the data passing through the switch.

  • Patent number: 7523830
Abstract: A wafer container providing improved wafer restraint during physical shock events. In embodiments of the invention, a secondary wafer restraint structure defining a plurality of notches is interposed between opposing wafer restraint members on the door of the container. The notches may be defined by one or more converging edges or surfaces meeting at a junction. The junctions are positioned so as to align with the wafer receiving portions of each opposing pair of wafer restraint member so that when the door is fully sealingly engaged with the enclosure of the container, the edge of the wafer is contacting the junction. In this position, any vertical movement of the wafer due to shock imparted to the container causes the wafer to contact the converging surfaces or edges, thereby limiting such movement.

  • Publication number: 20090092136
Abstract: A system may include a processor that is arranged and configured to receive initial data packets from a data stream, to classify the initial data packets from the data stream and to populate one or more tables with information based on the classification of the initial data packets from the data stream. The system may include a bus in communication with the processor and an engine, in communication with the bus, that is arranged and configured to process subsequent data packets from the data stream using the information present in the one or more tables such that the subsequent data packets from the data stream bypass the processor.

  • Patent number: 7476037
Abstract: A device for forming an optical connection between an optoelectronic device and an optical fiber and for forming an electrical connection between the optoelectronic device and a substrate, a system including the device and materials, and methods of forming the device and system are disclosed. The device for forming an optical connection includes a—light transmission medium and electrical connectors, which are at least partially encapsulated. In addition, the device includes guide grooves configured to receive guide pins from a fiber ribbon connector, such that when the fiber ribbon connector is attached to the device, fibers of the ribbon align with the optoelectronic device via the light transmission medium.

  • Patent number: 7422107
Abstract: A substrate kinematic coupling or guide plate for a substrate carrier having textured or patterned surfaces at the points of contact to reduce frictional forces generated between automated processing equipment and the kinematic coupling. The textured surface reduces the contact area between the processing equipment and the contact portion of the kinematic coupling, thereby reducing the resultant frictional force. By reducing the frictional force, the substrate carrier more readily settles on the mounting pins of the processing equipment, thus avoiding intolerable height and angular deviations during automated access to the substrates. Textures include, but are not limited to, a knurl pattern, ridges running laterally along the contact portions, and ridges running longitudinally along the contact portions. The textures may be formed by a blow molding, injection molding or in an overmolding process, or by a machining or imprinting process.
