Publication number: 20150375113Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for optimizing allocation of client devices, such as gaming devices, to different available data centers and servers, such as gaming servers, within a data center. The allocation maintains a satisfactory user experience while balancing costs and resource usage. Embodiments of the invention match a client to a data center and server based on a set of criteria related to the client device, user of the client device, game or application the user desires to play, available data centers for supporting the client device, and conditions of the network between the client device and data center. An allocation algorithm may be used to determine resource-efficient allocation. In one embodiment, a bidding process is employed wherein a client and data center are matched based on bids received from data centers. In one embodiment, allocation is periodically evaluated to determine if reassignment to another data center is needed.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 30, 2014Publication date: December 31, 2015Inventors: John Raymond Justice, Dave Lalor, Stefan Keir Gordon, Joshua Boehm, Stephen John Butler

Publication number: 20150272563Abstract: A retractor (101) for retracting the margins of a wound opening (103) comprises an inner anchoring O-ring (105) attached to a cylindrical sleeve (106) at a distal end and a reinforcing O-ring (109) attached to a proximal end of the sleeve (106). The sleeve (106) is led between an inner ring part (110) and a corresponding recess (116) in an outer ring part (111). The outer ring part (111) has anchor formations (120) over which the proximal end of the sleeve (106) is attached to anchor the sleeve (106). To retract the wound opening (103) the sleeve (106) is pulled while the guide rings (110, 111) are moved against the tissue surrounding the wound opening (103). This pulls the inner O-ring (105) against the inside of the tissue adjacent the wound opening (103), and retracts the wound opening (103). The sleeve (106) is manipulated locally for maximum retraction efficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 27, 2015Publication date: October 1, 2015Inventors: John BUTLER, Derek William YOUNG, Aoibhean GILL, Alan REID, Frank BONADIO

Publication number: 20150127560Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for providing a unified representation of all customer relationships with an entity. This representation focuses on customer products in arrears that are to be recovered. The invention presents an overarching view of all customer relationships to a representative. This allows the representative to make decision and take appropriate actions immediately based on the entire relationship with the customer when a customer communication is initiated. As such, the invention correlates all of the customer's relationships with a financial institution into one unified representation for a representative to review. The unified representation takes into consideration all of the customer's relationships as well as external factors on the communications and relationships. Thus providing a holistic customer service experience for a customer with accounts in arrears.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2013Publication date: May 7, 2015Applicant: BANK OF AMERICA CORPORATIONInventors: Richard Hardin Staton, Jason N.
