  • Publication number: 20240079843
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for producing ultrashort optical pulses are described. A high-power, solid-state, passively mode-locked laser can be manufactured in a compact module that can be incorporated into a portable instrument. The mode-locked laser can produce sub-50-ps optical pulses at a repetition rates between 200 MHz and 50 MHz, rates suitable for massively parallel data-acquisition. The optical pulses can be used to generate a reference clock signal for synchronizing data-acquisition and signal-processing electronics of the portable instrument.

  • Patent number: 11922195
Abstract: Some embodiments support embedding of a notebooks software component in a surrounding host application, thereby promoting consistency of notebook user interfaces and user experiences between different kinds of applications. For instance, the notebook access added to an integrated development environment (IDE) may be aesthetically consistent with the notebook access added to a business analytics tool from the same vendor as the IDE. Departures from the aesthetic are still supported, e.g., a notebook access provided in a video gaming environment to teach gamers programming skills may have the same aesthetic as the simulated world of the video game, rather than an IDE aesthetic or an enterprise software aesthetic. Direct integration or proxied integration architectures may be used. Efficiencies may be gained by distinguishing between notebook viewing, editing, and executing operations, and providing more computationally expensive resources only as needed for the notebook access being performed.

  • Publication number: 20240071461
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods relate to adaptive memory registers for a memory system that may support a nondeterministic protocol. To help manage power-delivery networks in a memory system, a device includes logic that can write values to memory registers associated with memory blocks of a memory array. The values indicate whether an associated memory block has been refreshed within a refresh interval. Other logic can read the registers to determine whether a block has been refreshed. The device also includes logic that can access data indicating a row address that was most recently, or is next to be, refreshed and write values representing the address to another register. The register can be read by other logic to determine whether a wordline potentially affected by an activation-based disturb event is near to being refreshed. These techniques can reduce the number of refresh operations performed, saving power and reducing costs.

  • Publication number: 20240073044
Abstract: A computing system that is configured to receive requests to send computer executable programs to a data owner system associated with a data source for execution of the computer executable program by the data owner system. The data owner system may store to a blockchain a permitted list of programming functions, function libraries, function syntax definitions, and execution environment requirements. The computing system may be further configured to retrieve the permitted lists. The computing system may be further configured to evaluate the computer executable program using the permitted lists to determine if the computer executable program may be executed by the data owner system. The evaluation may be performed by generating an abstract syntax tree of the computer executable program. The computing system may be further configured to send the computer executable program to the data owner system if the computer executable program satisfies the conditions of the permitted lists.

  • Publication number: 20240070102
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods facilitate bus training with multiple dice, such as multiple memory dice. A controller can communicate with multiple dice to perform bus training by sending a test pattern and receiving in return a feedback pattern indicative of the bits detected by the dice. Because suitable signal timing can differ between dice, even those using the same bus, a controller may train each die separately from the others. In some situations, however, individualized training may be infeasible. To accommodate such situations, logic associated with two or more dice can combine, using at least one logical operation, bits as detected from the test pattern into a combined feedback pattern. A timing parameter that is jointly suitable for multiple dice can be determined, and the bus training may be concluded, responsive to the combined feedback pattern matching the test pattern. The multiple dice may be stacked or linked.

  • Publication number: 20240070101
Abstract: Described apparatuses and methods facilitate bus training with multiple dice, such as multiple memory dice. A controller can communicate with multiple dice over a bus to perform bus training by sending a test pattern and receiving in return a feedback pattern indicative of the bits detected by the dice. Because suitable signal timing can differ between dice, even those using the same bus, the controller may attempt to train each die separately from the others. In some situations, however, individualized training may be infeasible. To accommodate such situations, logic associated with two or more dice can combine the bits as detected from the test pattern into a combined feedback pattern. A timing parameter that is jointly suitable for multiple dice can be determined, and the bus training may be concluded, responsive to the combined feedback pattern matching the test pattern. • Publication number: 20240066174
Abstract: A diffuser made of thermoform molded pulp in a desired shape, such as a hanging ornament, having features to secure a wicking part of the diffuser to a rounded bottle opening filled with an oil fragrance. To insert the diffuser, a cap is unscrewed from a bottle filled with oil fragrance, and the wicking part is inserted through the opening of the bottle until it rests on the interior bottom of the bottle. A rotatable capping feature is featured at the top of the wicking part, which is closed during insertion of the wicking part to prevent accidental spillage and loss oil due to evaporation. The wicking element draws the oil fragrance into the ornamental diffusing part by capillary action.

In general, the glass includes, in mol %, from about 40-70 SiO2, 0-25 Al2O3, 0-10 B2O3; 5-35 Na2O, 0-2.5 K2O, 0-8.5 MgO, 0-2 ZnO, 0-10% P2O5 and 0-1.5 CaO. As a result of ion exchange, the glass includes a compressive stress (?s) at at least one surface and, optionally, a color. In one method, communicating a colored glass with an ion exchange bath imparts ?s while in another; communicating imparts ?s and a preselected color. In the former, a colorant is part of the glass batch while in the latter; it is part of the bath. In each, the colorant includes one or more metal containing dopants formulated to impart to a preselected color. Examples of one or more metal containing dopants include one or more transition and/or rare earth metals.

  • Publication number: 20240051152
Abstract: A system and method for installing solar panels are provided. The method obtains an image of a solar panel during an in-progress solar installation and estimates features of the solar panel based on a first image using distance simulation, geometric correction, and/or angular adjustment. The method also generates control signals, based on the estimated features, for operating a robotic controller for picking the solar panel. The method also obtains a second image of the solar panel when the solar panel is in a perspective view and detects placement of the solar panel based on the image by determining if the solar panel is co-planar with and at a predetermined offset from a fixed solar panel. Based on the detected placement, control signals are generated for operating a second robotic controller for aligning the solar panel with the fixed solar panel.

  • Patent number: 11900579
Abstract: A device includes a digital camera positioned underneath a display of the device that captures images through the display. When capturing images using the digital camera, light emitted by the display can get into the digital camera, interfering with or corrupting the captured images. Calibration images are displayed on the display and captured by the digital camera to be used to generate an enhanced output image that mitigates the interference from the display. Recalibration images are subsequently captured in response to any of a variety of different trigger events that may cause or indicate a change in the alignment and geometries of the display pixels to the imager pixels. The captured recalibration image is merged with the previously captured calibration image to generate a merged calibration image, which is afterwards used as the captured calibration image.

  • Publication number: 20240046045
Abstract: Methods and systems for enhanced natural language processing of clinical documentation are provided. Using natural language processing, a clinical condition is extracted from unstructured data within a current electronic document. A clinical ontology identifying itemsets associated with the clinical condition is retrieved, and indicators of relevant clinical concepts, as identified from the ontology, are searched from within the patient's longitudinal record, which comprises documentation from at least a prior encounter. Based on the whether the clinical concepts are present in the patent's record, a confidence is assigned to the NLP-extracted clinical condition, and one or more actions may be performed.
