  • Publication number: 20220257149
Abstract: A system includes a sensing assembly configured to be disposed on a mastoid of a user. The sensing assembly includes a housing, a first sensor disposed in the housing and configured to measure a first phybrata signal from the user, and a second sensor disposed in the housing and configured to measure a second phybrata signal from the user, the second phybrata signal different from the first phybrata signal. A controller is in communication with the sensing assembly. The controller is configured to: receive a first phybrata data from the sensing assembly, the first phybrata data including information obtained from the first phybrata signal and the second phybrata signal. The controller is configured to determine a phybrata parameter associated with the user based on the first phybrata data, and determine a phybrata signature associated with the user based on the phybrata parameter.

  • Publication number: 20180110466
Abstract: An apparatus has a housing adapted for mechanical coupling with a skull of a human. A first sensor is positioned in the housing to collect linear motion signals. A second sensor is positioned in the housing to collect rotational motion signals. A processor is positioned in the housing connected to the first sensor and the second sensor. The processor is configured to process the linear motion signals and the rotational motion signals to derive a cumulative impact power measure of repetitive sub-concussive head impacts. The cumulative impact power measure is compared to a threshold indicative of the onset of neural tissue deformations corresponding to physiological changes from repetitive sub-concussive head impacts. An alert is supplied when the cumulative impact power measure is proximate the threshold.

  • Publication number: 20160307240
Abstract: The system and methods described herein provide for advocating brands in a multimedia device applications. The system and method provides for conversion of digital facial images into animated representations. The system and method captures and analyzes a user's voice information, compares this to a plurality of phonemes, maps the extracted phonemes onto the animated representation allowing for synchronized movement of the animated representation with real time voice conversations therefore providing for a low-bandwidth video chat capability. The system and method also provide a method for advertisers to target users and bid online to deliver users branded display backdrops, logos or multimedia content. The system and method couples advertiser bids and display prominence so that the higher the bid, the more prominent is the presentation of an advertiser's thumbnail, icon or other representation of the advertiser's user engagement content offering in a list displayed on a target user's multimedia device.

  • Patent number: 8078703
Abstract: An efficient software download to a configurable communication device is disclosed herein. The method of efficiently downloading software begins with a step of receiving a request to configure a communication device to run a communication application. The communication device being configured has a plurality of function blocks with a fixed portion of hardware and a flexible portion of hardware, wherein the same plurality of function blocks is capable of operating a plurality of communication applications. In a next step, the capability of the fixed portion and the flexible portion of hardware of the communication device is evaluated for a capability of implementing the communication application. Next, configuration information only for the flexible portion of hardware of the communication device is transmitted to the communication device to enable it to operate the communication application.
