  • Publication number: 20260024343
Abstract: A device for efficient object detection and selective display of video frames is disclosed. A plurality of bounding boxes to visually bound one or more subjects are defined in the received video frames; each bounding box includes padding above and laterally with respect to the one or more subjects in the video frame. The device may reduce the plurality of bounding boxes by merging bounding boxes to create reduced plurality of merged bounding boxes. The device performs object detection on the reduced plurality of merged bounding boxes by searching a training database for detecting and identifying suspicious objects. The identified objects are annotated. On identifying that an object is suspicious, based on a trained database of firearms in a plurality of environments across a plurality of industries, the video frame is transmitted to a graphical user interface of a user device.

  • Patent number: 12335885
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for improving the resilience of a network of positioning-unit devices to failure of the reference device that controls the network timebase via timing information in its signal. In certain embodiments a predetermined one of the positioning-unit devices is configured to monitor the reference signal, assess serviceability of that signal and take control of the network if it determines that signal is unserviceable. Continuity of network synchronisation is thereby maintained despite the reference signal being unserviceable. Preferably the predetermined positioning-unit device is configured to obtain information on the reference signal from at least one other positioning-unit device for assessing reference signal serviceability.

  • Patent number: 12106537
Abstract: A device may receive and store video frames in the memory. The device may define, in a video frame among the video frames, a plurality of bounding boxes to visually bound one or more subjects, each bounding box of the plurality of bounding boxes may be defined in accordance with a pre-defined aspect ratio, and each bounding box may comprise padding above and laterally with respect to the one or more subjects in the video frame. The device may reduce the plurality of bounding boxes by merging two bounding boxes among the plurality of bounding boxes to create a merged bounding box, wherein the merged bounding box may maintain the pre-defined aspect ratio and visually bounds the two bounding boxes being merged, and wherein the reduced plurality of bounding boxes is provided to an object detector.

Abstract: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a computer-implemented method of controlling a wearable audio device configured to provide an audio output. The method includes receiving data indicating the wearable audio device is proximate a geographic location associated with a localized audio message, and determining that the localized audio message has a higher priority compared to at least one other localized audio message associated with another geographical location proximate to the wearable audio device. The method also includes, responsive to determining that the localized audio message has the higher priority, providing a prompt to initiate playback of the localized audio message with the higher priority to a user of the wearable audio device, and initiating playback of the localized audio message with the higher priority at the wearable audio device in response to actuation of the prompt by the user.

  • Publication number: 20200298022
Abstract: A pencil beam system includes a charged particle beam generator, a transport beamline apparatus, a scan nozzle, a fast deflector electromagnet, and a controller. After a therapeutic dose is delivered to a first target spot, the fast deflector electromagnet generates a first magnetic field that causes the net deflection of the charged particle beam to transition from the first target spot to an adjacent target spot. After the charged particle beam is directed to the adjacent target spot, the controller simultaneously adjusts the first magnetic field and the scan nozzle magnetic field to reduce and eliminate the contribution of the first magnetic field to the net deflection. The fast deflector electromagnet is deliberately designed with limited magnetic field and limited deflecting power to provide a higher slew rate, faster settling and less hysteresis contribution to beam position as compared to the scan nozzle electromagnets.
