  • Patent number: 11950101
Abstract: An embodiment includes a method to increase the efficiency of security checkpoint operations. A security checkpoint kiosk serves as a Relying Party System (RPS). The RPS establishes a secure local connection between the RPS and a User Mobile-Identification-Credential Device (UMD). The RPS sends a user information request to the UMD, via the secure local connection, seeking release of user information associated with a Mobile Identification Credential (MIC). The RPS obtains authentication of the user information received in response to the user information request. The RPS retrieves user travel information based on the user information. The RPS determines that the user travel information matches the user information. When the user travel information matches the user information, the RPS approves the user to proceed past the security checkpoint kiosk.

  • Publication number: 20230213726
Abstract: Disclosed herein is metasurface modules configured to reduce the cost of integration of metasurface elements within a housing and methods of manufacturing thereof. One particular embodiment includes a metasurface module including: a secondary substrate; and a metasurface chip mounted on the secondary substrate. The secondary substrate laterally extends from all sides of the metasurface chip to completely surround the metasurface chip. The secondary substrate may be utilized to mount the metasurface chip within a housing which decreases the size of the metasurface chip and ultimately decreases manufacturing costs of the metasurface chip.

  • Publication number: 20220385042
Abstract: Disclosed herein are single element dot pattern projectors with a meta-optics. The projectors include a laser light source and a metasurface chip integrated onto the laser light source. The metasurface chip includes metasurface elements spaced apart from the laser light source by a distance equal to the collimating function focal length of the metasurface chip. the laser light source produces light which is diffracted through the metasurface elements to produce a dot pattern. Projectors enabled by meta-optics lead to unique methods of integrating the meta-optic and unique functionality that can be added to the dot pattern.

  • Publication number: 20210335367
Abstract: A text mining engine running on an artificial platform is trained to perform conversation role identification, semantic analysis, summarization, language detection, etc. The text mining engine analyzes words in a transcript that represent unique characteristics of a conversation and, based on the unique characteristics and utilizing classification predictive modeling, determines a conversation role for each participant of the conversation and metadata describing the conversation such as tonality of words spoken by a participant in a particular conversation role. Outputs from the text mining engine are indexed and useful for various purposes. For instance, because the system can identify which speaker in a customer service call is likely an agent and which speaker is likely a customer, words spoken by the agent can be analyzed for compliance reasons, training agents, providing quality assurance for improving customer service, providing feedback to improve the performance of the text mining engine, etc.

  • Patent number: 9298844
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing mobile communications with one or more message recipients is disclosed. The system is configured to create a unique URL and send it to a message recipient via an appropriate communication platform. The system waits for the unique URL to be requested and logs information from the web browser associated with the mobile communication device used to access the unique URL. The system may use this information to direct the mobile device user to a dynamically created web page. This methodology can be used to improve immediate and future communications by tailoring the message content and communication platform according to the message recipient's mobile device. The dynamic web page may also be configured to prompt the message recipient to execute a desired action, including downloading a compatible mobile app and changing message delivery preferences in order to optimize communications with the message recipient.

  • Patent number: 9190548
Abstract: An improved method of fabricating an interdigitated back contact (IBC) solar cell is disclosed. A first mask is used to perform a patterned ion implantation of n-type dopant to create the back surface field. A second mask is then used to create the p-type emitter on the same surface. The second mask may be aligned to the n-type implant, and may be used in a plurality of orientations to create the desired p-type emitter. In some embodiments, a p-type blanket implant is performed as well. In some embodiments, a doping gradient is created.

  • Patent number: 8993373
Abstract: Methods of doping a solar cell, particularly a point contact solar cell, are disclosed. One surface of a solar cell may require portions to be n-doped, while other portions are p-doped. At least one lithography step can be eliminated by the use of a blanket doping of species having one conductivity and a patterned counterdoping process of species having the opposite conductivity. The areas doped during the patterned implant receive a sufficient dose so as to completely reverse the effect of the blanket doping and achieve a conductivity that is opposite the blanket doping. In some embodiments, counterdoped lines are also used to reduce lateral series resistance of the majority carriers.

  • Publication number: 20140379814
Abstract: A system provides for the efficient delivery of messages from one or more message originators to one or more message recipients via a plurality of communication or messaging platforms. A message originator can create a single message and specify one or more message recipients, multiple communication platforms and delivery scheduling, all from a graphical user interface on a mobile communication device or a computer. The message will be formatted for the selected message recipients, the available and desired communication platforms in the desired priority order, and scheduled for delivery to the message recipients at selected time(s). Additionally, messages may be screened to reduce or eliminate potentially duplicate messages via one or more duplication filters. On the message recipient side, each message recipient can specify the desired communication platform and preference priority for receipt of messages, along with the desired timing for delivery of messages from each potential message originator.
