  • Publication number: 20240142695
Abstract: Improvements to gratings for use in waveguides and methods of producing them are described herein. Deep surface relief gratings (SRGs) may offer many advantages over conventional SRGs and Bragg gratings, an important one being a higher S-diffraction efficiency. In one embodiment, deep SRGs can be implemented as polymer surface relief gratings or evacuated Bragg gratings (EBGs). EBGs can be formed by first recording a holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) grating. Removing the liquid crystal from the cured grating provides a polymer surface relief grating. Polymer surface relief gratings have many applications including for use in waveguide-based displays.

  • Publication number: 20240144378
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing covered parking to vehicles is provided. The method may include transmitting a location identifier of a covered parking location and a communication address of a covered parking location (CPL) computing device to a vehicle computing device and/or an insurance computing device. The method may further include transmitting a signal to the vehicle computing device indicating a number of available parking spots of the covered parking location when the vehicle computing device contacts the CPL computing device, receiving a request from the vehicle computing device to reserve a parking spot of the covered parking location, determining whether to accept the request, and transmitting a response to the vehicle computing device. Accepting the request causes the CPL computing device to permit a vehicle associated with the vehicle computing device access to the covered parking location.

  • Publication number: 20240126569
Abstract: A compute server receives a request that triggers execution of a code piece out of multiple code pieces. A single process at the compute server executes the code piece, which is run in an isolated execution environment. Each other code piece runs in other isolated execution environments respectively and executed by the single process. The code piece, when executed, modifies a response to the request. The response is generated based at least in part on the executed code piece. The generated response is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 11949647
Abstract: A tunnel is established between a first edge server of a distributed edge compute and routing service and a tunnel client residing on an origin server. Routing rules are installed in the edge servers of the distributed edge compute and routing service to reach the first edge server. The routing rules are based at least in part on traffic information gathered from processing other traffic that traverses the distributed edge compute and routing service. A request for content served by the origin server through the tunnel is received at a second edge server of the distributed edge compute and routing service. A path from the second edge server to the first edge server is determined based on the routing rules. The request is transmitted on the determined path. The first edge server receives the request and transmits the request to the origin server over the tunnel.

Abstract: A method for producing holograms with a multiplicity of holographic prescriptions from a single master is provided. A multiplicity of holographic substrates each containing a first hologram is stacked on a second holographic recording medium substrate. The first hologram is designed to diffract light from a first direction into a second direction. When expose to illumination from the first direction zero order and diffracted light from each first hologram interfere in the second holographic recording medium substrate forming a second hologram.
