  • Publication number: 20230315819
Abstract: An example embodiment may involve, based on input from an entity, defining, by a computing system, a non-fungible token (NFT) that is associated with metadata representing a value and an expiry time that defines when the NFT expires, wherein the NFT incorporates smart contract functionality to emit an event when the NFT expires, and wherein the NFT is usable by its holder to modify behavior of a software application; submitting, by the computing system, the NFT as an entry proposed for addition to a cryptographically-immutable distributed database; receiving, by the computing system, confirmation that the entry has been added to the cryptographically-immutable distributed database; and listening, by the computing system, for the event, wherein firing of the event causes the value associated with the NFT to be transferred to the entity.

  • Patent number: 11224707
Abstract: A device and method for adjusting a tidal breath delivered to a patient. The device includes a moving frame which is configured to move over a stationary frame that is nested within the moving frame itself. Disposed between the moving frame and the stationary frame is a compressible bellows which delivers a tidal breath to the patient each time the moving frame is passed over the stationary frame. The specific volume of the tidal breath that is delivered may adjusted according to the estimated weight of the patient, thereby preventing over inflation of the patient's lungs while undergoing treatment. To adjust the tidal breath volume, the user quickly changes the relative position of a slide adjuster which dictates the range of possible movement between the moving frame and the stationary frame, thereby limiting the volume of air/oxygen which may be drawn into the bellows.

  • Publication number: 20210016034
Abstract: An apparatus and method for selecting a tidal breath to be delivered to a patient with a resuscitation bag according to the patient's size or age. A user estimates a proper tidal breath for a patient and then adjusts or fixes the volume of a resuscitation bag to deliver that selected tidal breath. The user may deploy a variety of mechanical means to either limit the effective volume of the resuscitation bag or temporary maintain the resuscitation bag in a deformed configuration which also restricts or reduces the internal volume of the resuscitation bag. The mechanical means for limiting the volume of the resuscitation bag is also marked so as to notify the user the current degree by which the volume of the resuscitation bag is reduced, thereby informing the user the size of the tidal breath that is delivered when the resuscitation bag is compressed.

  • Patent number: 10343933
Abstract: Apparatus and method for providing a self priming, self evacuating, cyclicly operating system in which liquid is disposed in a closed, fluid tight heating chamber for sterilization. Only a single parameter, temperature, is monitored to accomplish a desired liquid SAL. A pair of valves are singly and sequentially opened and closed within four phases (steps) to provide for liquid displacement. Operation cycles through four phases which include opening an inlet valve for filling the heating chamber, heating liquid to a predetermined temperature at which the liquid is sterilized to the desired SAL, opening an outlet valve whereby internally generated pressure delivers sterilized liquid to a dispensing container and a delay for keeping valve opening separate.

  • Patent number: 10267052
Abstract: A retractable canopy for use with a portable spa hot tub is provided. The retractable canopy includes a U-shaped bow having a pair of end members pivotably mounted to the spa hot tub, each end member of the U-shaped bow having a gear mechanism, a pair of spring-loaded levers coupled to the spa hot tub, each spring-loaded lever having a protrusion that communicates with the gear mechanism of one of the end members of the U-shaped bow, and a fabric member coupled to the U-shaped bow and spa hot tub. The U-shaped bow pivotably adjusts to one of a plurality of locking positions to expand or collapse the fabric member and may include lighting along the bow perimeter.

  • Publication number: 20170145155
Abstract: Objects can be produced using an additive manufacturing process. The objects can include a plurality of layers of a polymeric material that includes a copolyester ether. The copolyester ether can include units of a diacid component and units of a glycol component. In some implementations, the units of the diacid component can be derived from at least one aliphatic dicarboxylic acid. Further, in some illustrative examples, the units of the glycol component can be derived from an aliphatic glycol and a polyalkylene ether glycol. In some cases, the polymeric material can also include a thermoplastic elastomer and a resin component.

  • Patent number: 9510705
Abstract: A pre-packaged beverage brewer press is taught that incorporates a hollow cylinder (20) having a full diameter body (22), an open top (24) and a closed bottom (26) with a removable holder (36) engaging the cylinder bottom. The holder has a configuration suitable to retain a beverage cartridge (40), with the holder having at least one exit opening (46) therein. A removable manually operated piston (74) is configured to be engaged within the hollow cylinder and includes an air-tight seal and an outwardly extended top (76). A cup (98), having a wide flat bottom for standing evenly on a flat surface, is attached to the cylinder bottom. When heated water is placed within the cylinder and the piston is inserted into the cylinder and urged downwardly by a user, sufficient pressure is created to compress the water into the beverage cartridge permitting steeping therefore brewing a beverage which is discharged into the cup attached beneath.

  • Patent number: 8522669
Abstract: A pod holder for brewing a single cup beverage with infused heated water consist of a holder body having an open top and a base with an egress hole. A body inner cup, to with a keyhole shaped opening in the bottom, is placed within the holder body. A pod ejector pin extend through both the inner cup keyhole shaped opening and the holder body egress hole and protrudes beneath. A single cup pod is manually compressed into the inner cup, and a lid is attached to the body. The lid has an integral water inlet hollow duct with a pod cushion, permitting the cushion to press against the pod without piercing the pod cover, such that when hot water is introduced into the pod the water seeps through the pod's contents and a beverage is brewed. The brewed liquid drains through the inner cup and body and is discharged into a cup beneath, with the spent pod expelled when the lid is removed and the ejector pin is manually depressed.
