  • Patent number: 10842479
Abstract: A one-way knot pusher and/or locking device is provided and can be used for the adjustment of soft tissue anchoring components that create or improve continence. The device can be generally button- or disc-shaped and can include a carrier and a pin. When the device is pushed in the free sliding direction it acts as a knot pusher. However, when reversed the suture (e.g., the knot) jams or wedges inside of the cavity of the carrier, restricting or preventing motion in the opposite direction.

  • Publication number: 20200276439
Abstract: A cardiac lead system is provided. The lead is placed epicardially through the transverse pericardial sinus with integrated curvatures to prevent the lead from slipping out of the transverse pericardial sinus. Interaction with multiple chambers of the heart is facilitated in a single lead, without anchors that embed into the heart wall. Multiple electrodes can be grouped over each targeted heart area to ensure adequate electrical contact.

  • Publication number: 20200155319
Abstract: A neopenis includes an implant and a support. The implant is an implantable prosthesis that is implantable into a neophallus and adapted to provide the neophallus with an erection. The support is configured for attachment to a ramus of a pelvis. The implantable prosthesis in combination with the support are adapted to orient the neopenis in an anatomically natal penis position that is adapted for penetrative intercourse.

  • Publication number: 20200155320
Abstract: An implantable support implantable in a neophallus to support a neopenis includes a first tubular sleeve extending from a proximal end portion to a distal end portion; a first base coupled to the proximal end portion of the first tubular sleeve, where the first base is adapted to be secured to a pubic ramus of a pelvis; and a first opening formed in the first tubular sleeve, where the first opening communicates with a recess that is sized to receive an implantable penile prosthesis. The first tubular sleeve is adapted to provide the neophallus with an artificial tunica located between the recess and the neophallus of the neopenis.

  • Publication number: 20200146827
Abstract: An implantable support is provided to secure an implanted prosthesis in a natal male or a trans-male. The implantable support has a base portion attachable to a pelvis, an artificial ligament coupled to the base portion, and an artificial crus penis recess that is sized to receive a proximal end portion of a penile prosthesis. The artificial ligament orients the penile prosthesis within a neopenis anatomically in a position of a natal penis and in a position adapted for penetrative intercourse.

  • Publication number: 20190358016
Abstract: A method of treating prolapse of a vagina includes supporting the vagina by implanting a sacrocolpopexy support and locating an exterior surface of the vagina between leg portions of a vaginal cuff section of the support, and securing a head section of the support to a ligament or a sacrum while isolating the head section from contact with tissue of the vagina.

  • Patent number: 10426586
Abstract: A sacrocolpopexy support has a head section extending from a first end portion to a second end portion, and a leg section having a first leg portion placed on and in longitudinal alignment with a second leg portion. A first connector secures the leg section to the second end portion of the head section. A second connector secures the first leg portion to the second leg portion to form a closed joint that defines a space between the first leg portion and the second leg portion. An end of the second end portion of the head section terminates at a location exterior to the closed joint outside of the space between the first leg portion and the second leg portion.

  • Publication number: 20190269428
Abstract: Devices and related methods to engage tissue layers to access the space between the layers are provided. The access devices include engagement arms that can be deployed and retracted to easily engage the top tissue layer and allow it to be separated from the underlying layer. The engagement arms are coupled to an actuation rod that is in turn coupled to a switch or lever that allows a user to control the actuation from outside the patient. The engagement arms and coupling to the actuation rod are unique and compact to ensure the entire mechanism fits in a small diameter shaft.

  • Publication number: 20190254801
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided and adapted to engage and pull (e.g., pull up) or reposition paraurethral support tissue, such as the perineal membrane. The perineal membrane intersects the urethra and vagina at the midurethra or distal location and can thus be stabilized or controlled in a manner that helps restore continence. As such, the implants can be utilized to eliminate the need for mesh or other supportive structures under the urethra that is common with other incontinence slings.
