    Abstract: Signal egress from a shielding flaw in a cable telecommunication system is detected, even where signals carried by the cable telecommunication system are quadrature amplitude modulated signals that statistically resemble broadband noise by generating a marker signal comprising a double side band, suppressed carrier signal in the fringes of contiguous frequency bands and at a power level which cannot cause perceptible interference with signals in those contiguous frequency bands. The separation of the sidebands comprising the marker signal can unambiguously identify the marker signal and can distinguish between different cable telecommunication systems installed in the same geographic area. The marker signal can be additionally coded by varying the frequency and/or amplitude of the modulating signal used to create the marker signal.

    Abstract: A unified container includes a plurality of individual storage units that are interlocked, each storage unit including at least one compartment and at least one lid. Each storage unit further includes an interlocking mechanism, for example, a tooth and groove mechanism. Through the interlocking mechanism each storage unit interlocks to adjacent storage units, thereby forming the unified container. However, the interlocking mechanism also allows each storage unit to be detached from adjacent units and thereafter reattached/interlocked with any other unit, thereby forming unified containers of varying sizes. According to one example application, the interlocked storage units form a pill case, each unit holding medication for a different week-day. Through the interlocking mechanism, users can detach one or more storage units and take them as they travel, the individual units being easier to carry. Thereafter, the detached units can be reattached and reused.

For example, an EM detector may include an antenna array for sensing electromagnetic radiation produced by a source of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation, one or more amplitude demodulation circuits coupled to the antenna array configured to perform an amplitude demodulation of one or more signals provided by the antenna array to produce one or more respective demodulated output signals, and an analysis circuit coupled to the amplitude demodulation circuit configured to determine at least one relative characteristic between the antenna array and the source of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation. The relative characteristic may be the relative distance and/or angle between the antenna array and the source of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiation. The embodiments allow for signal source detection and location determination without knowledge of the frequency of a target emitter.

The wheeled frame comprises of a horizontal beam, at least two support structures, and a wheel assembly. The horizontal beam has a first and a second end and at least two adjustable brackets are connected to it. Each support structure has a front and rear shaft, and attaches to the horizontal beam raising the horizontal beam to an elevated position. The wheel assembly attaches to each shaft and comprises of an axle and a wheel. The water delivery system comprises of a water delivery pipe and multiple irrigation outlets. The water delivery pipe is supported by the adjustable brackets and is in fluid communication with the water inlet. The multiple irrigation outlets are spaced longitudinally along the water pipe for delivering water in overlapping spray patterns. The handle comprises of a handle joint and a steering handle. The handle joint is attached to the horizontal beam.

    Abstract: The body of a fishing lure has a rod extending therefrom to which is tethered, by fishing line, a fishing hook. The body has an elastomeric band thereabout, and the shank of the hook and the rod-to-hook fishing line are stowed within the band in a set up, ready to snare a fish. With a fish strike at the hook, the hook and line withdraw from the band, rearwardly of the lure body, while the lure body is trolled or reeled forwardly. In turn, the hook reaches the end of its line-tether, and comes to a sudden halt, whereby the fish is deeply hooked.

    Abstract: A wheel, journalled on supports atop the reel housing has a slot formed therein. Limbs attached to both the wheel, and the reel thumb actuator, cause the wheel to rotate in common with depression of the actuator, and dispose the slot rearwardly. The slot latchingly receives the hook of a lure, with the fishing rod bent into an energy-stored, strained disposition. With release of the thumb actuator, the lure flies outwardly in a substantially flat trajectory. Also, the cone is only slidably coupled to the reel housing, so that line will not be released until the cone, biasingly held to the housing, returns into full engagement with the housing.

    Abstract: A pair of mutually confronting fish hooks are spring-coupled at the shank ends thereof to define thereof a shielding loop which circumscribes the barbed and pointed ends of the hooks. Accordingly, the coupled hooks can be drawn through submerged obstructions without getting snagged on such. The so-coupled hooks are replacements for the barbed hooks of crankbaits, for example, and upon a fish striking the so modified crankbaits, the spring yields and exposes the barbed, pointed ends externally of the shielding loop. In an alternate embodiment, the spring-coupled or calipered hooks are confined within a sheathing, frog-simulating body, and in another embodiment, the hooks are sheathed in an expandable tube. Fish strikes, again, diminish the loop and dispose the barbed, pointed ends of the hooks at-the-ready for piercing the thin sheathing and lodging in the mouth of the fish.

    Abstract: Variable pitch feed of fasteners by a unitary, single toothed feed pawl. In a first embodiment, back-up of the fasteners is prevented using a downwardly pointed detent tooth which bits into a secondary runner bar of the fastener assemblage, preferably at a point somewhat beyond the fastener ejection axis. In a second embodiment, the secondary runner bar includes a series of lands spaced at the same pitch as the fasteners, and the detent comprises a pin biased toward the runner bar to intermittently engage the lands. Back-up of the fastener assemblage is prevented by the detent, and individual fasteners are securely positioned for ejection.

A removable strip applied to the adhesive surface protects the adhesiveness of the surface prior to installation.

    Abstract: A high-speed integral machine for fabricating substantially contaminant-free, high-intensity discharge arc tubes. The machine comprises a turret having a plurality of arc tube body holding members mounted about the peripheral portion of the turret. A plurality of work stations are located about the periphery of the turret. The turret is indexed in a stop-and-go fashion so that each of the plurality of arc tube holding members is sequentially indexed from work station to work station. Utilizing this device the fabricating operations for high-intensity discharge arc tubes are completed on one turret without substantial cooling of the arc tube between fabricating steps and the possible introduction of impurities therein.

    Abstract: An automatic tipping-off apparatus for hermetically sealing the exhaust tubulation of a dosed and otherwise processed arc tube for a high-intensity-dicharge device. The apparatus for use with an arc tube fabricating machine including a rotatable turret having a plurality of arc tube holding members mounted about the peripheral portion thereof. The turret is operational to move the arc tube holding members in a sequential stop-and-go fashion to and from a plurality of operating stations located in close proximity to the turret. The tipping-off apparatus maintains the arc tube in a vertical orientation and utilizes spring-loaded jaws to retain the arc tube while a burner moves into position about the exhaust tubulation.
