    Abstract: A method for logging a borehole executed by at least one processor of a computing device. First measurement data of the borehole is received, wherein the first measurement data is generated by a measurement device operating in a first operational mode, and during a first movement of the measurement device along a path within the borehole, and in a direction heading into the borehole. Borehole evaluation data is generated to evaluate the first measurement data of the borehole. The processor determines, based on the borehole evaluation data, a second operational mode of the measurement device to enable the measurement device to generate second measurement data during a second movement of the measurement device in an opposing direction along the path. Logging of the borehole is performed using the measurement device operating in at least the second operational mode.
