  • Publication number: 20120185054
Abstract: A knee prosthesis includes a femoral component for mounting to the distal end of the patient's femur and a tibial insert component. The femoral component includes a posterior cam extending between the lateral condylar structure and the medial condylar structure. The tibial insert includes a lateral bearing surface, a medial bearing surface, and a raised post portion having a posterior surface adapted to cooperate with the posterior cam of the femoral component. The posterior surface includes a posteriorlateral camming surface and a posteriormedial camming surface and each of the two camming surfaces have different radii of curvature. Between 60° to 90° of knee flexion, the posterior cam of the femoral component engages the raised post portion of the tibial insert and cooperates with the posteriorlateral and the posterior medial camming surfaces to promote posterior translation of the lateral condylar surface on the lateral bearing surface.

  • Publication number: 20120153791
Abstract: A clip system having a post for use with a drawer, such as a drawer used to support a computer keyboard, wherein the drawer includes a hingedly attached drop down front member that can pivot to an open or horizontal position to allow access to the keyboard. The locking device holds the front member in a vertical or closed position to prevent an inadvertent release thereof so that the drawer can function as a conventional desk drawer. The clip system includes a clip secured to the front member and a post secured to the bottom of the drawer. The clip and post cooperate together to hold the front member in the vertical position. A locking pin is provided which cooperates with the post and the clip for locking the front member in the vertical/closed position to prevent the inadvertent release and drop down of the front member.

  • Patent number: 8162416
Abstract: An anti-tip system for a piece of furniture having adjacent drawers, including a center panel having an aperture extending therethrough, a left drawer, and a right drawer, wherein the drawers each have a control member attached thereto. The invention includes a shuttle pin extending through the aperture, wherein the shuttle pin has a left end extending from the left side of the center panel and a right end extending from the right side of the center panel. The invention also includes a left wedge and a right wedge associated, whereby the wedge associated with one drawer is adapted, when the drawer is opened, to move the shuttle pin within the aperture and into the path of the control member of the adjacent drawer, thereby blocking the travel of the adjacent drawer. The invention is also directed to a method of utilizing such an arrangement.

  • Patent number: 7899906
Abstract: A method and system are described for collecting information from a device in a network at a collection interval. According to an exemplary embodiment, a method for collecting the information includes determining data needed from the device at the collection interval to evaluate the information. A measurement request is defined for collecting the data from the device at the collection interval. The measurement request is merged with other measurement requests for collecting the data from the device at the collection interval into a single merged measurement request at the collection interval. The measurement request is also merged with other measurement requests for collecting the data from the device at different collection intervals having a common integral divisor into a single merged measurement request at a highest of the different collection intervals.

  • Publication number: 20100253193
Abstract: An anti-tip device for a furniture piece having two drawers within a cabinet, and two keys that move with the drawers along a drawer axis. The keys have primary and secondary top surfaces with a valley therebetween, the valley defining a ledge wall. A lock bar is slidably secured to the cabinet and movable in a direction generally perpendicular to the drawer axis, and biased in a direction from the primary top surface to the bottom surface of each key. The lock bar has slots to receive the keys, and capture surfaces proximate to the slots on the side of the lock bar opposite the drawer. When one drawer is open the other drawer is moved toward the open position, the lock bar moves into the valley of the key so that the ledge wall abuts with the capture surface, thereby preventing further opening of the drawer.
