  • Patent number: 11530336
Abstract: Embodiments provide methods of assembling an apparel product. The methods include applying a composition to a portion of a major component of the apparel product or a portion of a minor component of the apparel product. The methods include coupling the portion of the minor component with the portion of the major component via the composition. The major component forms a base portion of the apparel product and is configured to be supported and worn at least partially over a portion of a wearer. The minor component forms a secondary portion that is configured to be coupled to the major component with an adhesive. The composition is cured to form the adhesive and the apparel product. The adhesive includes a polymer having a cyclodextrin moiety bonded to an azobenzene moiety.

  • Publication number: 20220322725
Abstract: The present application describes methods of reducing caking in and improving the flowability of a powdered material. The methods generally involve adding a naturally-derived additive to the powdered material that is capable of reducing caking within the powdered material, while also improving the flowability of the powdered material. For example, following treatment with the naturally-derived additive, the treated powdered materials generally demonstrate reduced overall caking and crust thickness. In some of the methods described herein, the naturally-derived additive belongs to the saponin class of chemicals. In other of the methods described herein, the naturally-derived additive is potassium cocoate. The present application also describes food additive formulations that include a saponin or potassium cocoate and demonstrate reduced caking and improved flowability of a granulated foodstuff.

  • Patent number: 10188330
Abstract: A physiological monitoring system may receive a sensor signal from a physiological sensor. The system may determine a parameter based on the sensor signal, for example variability of a blood oxygen saturation value or the percent modulation of a light signal. The system may determine a light drive parameter limit based on one or more parameters. For example, the system may determine a light drive current limit. The frequency of changes in the limit may be regulated using a state machine and other techniques that include hysteresis. An extant light drive parameter may be updated or changed in accordance with the light drive parameter limit and a light drive signal may be generated based on the light drive parameter.

  • Publication number: 20160374366
Abstract: Compositions for adhering seasonings or flavorings on food substrates, a method for making the compositions, and a method for applying the composition to a food substrate are described. The food substrate may be any shelf-stable food known in the art such as crackers, chips, pretzels, crispy bread products, popcorn, or nuts. The seasoning or flavoring may be salts, herbs spices, or solid flavorants that might complement the food substrate. The compositions are free flowing.

  • Patent number: 8765658
Abstract: A method for preparing an emulsion cleaning composition that is resistant to separation upon exposure to depressed and elevated temperatures and which exhibits a persistent peroxide content comprises preparing an organic portion and an oxidant portion and then combining the organic portion and the oxidant portion under mixing to make the emulsion. The organic portion comprises an organic solvent, and emulsifier and a cleaner surfactant. The oxidant portion comprises an oxidizing compound activator and a peroxide generator. The emulsion cleaning composition is useful for removing petroleum distillate residue from metal surfaces such as refinery surfaces.
