Abstract: Examples of the disclosure enable a set top box to be installed. In some examples, a remote control device, a computing device, and a set top box are provided. The computing device downloads configuration information for a location and receives input from an installer at the location. The set top box includes a remote control interface that receives commands from the remote control device, a local communications channel that transmits data to the computing device, an emulator that emulates the receipt of the commands by injecting remote control keypresses into the remote control interface to issue the commands, and a diagnostic feature activatable over the local communications channel by the computing device after the computing device receives the input to perform verification tests and to return results of the verification tests to the computing device to confirm to the installer that the set top box has been installed correctly.

Abstract: A lift is provided to facilitate access to swimming pools and spas. The lift includes a base and a mast extending therefrom. An arm pivotally connects to the mast. A seat assembly connects to the arm. An overhead support is positioned above the seat assembly. A first actuator moves the arm about the mast, thereby moving the seat assembly between raised and lowered positions, to bring the seat assembly out of and into a pool. A second actuator rotates the seat assembly relative to the base to position the seat assembly over the pool or deck. In use, the lift attaches to a pool deck, adjacent the pool, and a user accesses the seat assembly from the deck. The second actuator rotates about the base to position the user over the water. The first actuator lowers the seat assembly, and the user exits the seat assembly into the water.

Abstract: A system and method for securing an insulated concrete wall form to an existing support/bracing structure such as a strongback for keeping the form straight and plumb during construction. The attachment system uses a flexible member, such as a tensioning plastic strap, to hold the strongback against insulated panels of the insulated concrete wall form. Openings are cut through the insulated panels to provide a pathway for the strap. A horizontal anchoring bar is positioned in the insulated concrete wall form to secure the strap. The strap is threaded through one of the openings, wrapped around the anchoring bar and then threaded out through the other opening. The strap is wrapped around a strongback and the ends of the strap are secured using a crimp connector. A wedge may also be inserted between the strongback and the strap and pressed downwardly to adjust the tension of the strap and align the insulated concrete wall form against the strongback.
