  • Publication number: 20190197163
Abstract: Search spaces for obtaining query execution plans for a query are identified. The search spaces are subdivided into sub-search spaces. Searches are initiated within the sub search spaces and plan costs for competing query execution plans are noted along with search costs associated with continuing to search the sub-search spaces. A decision is made based on the plan costs and search costs for utilizing search resources as to when to terminate the searching and to select the then-existing lowest cost query execution plan as an optimal query execution plan for executing the query.

  • Publication number: 20190198519
Abstract: Some embodiments include an assembly which has channel material pillars, and which has memory cells along the channel material pillars. A conductive structure is under the channel material pillars. The conductive structure has doped semiconductor material in direct contact with bottom regions of the channel material pillars. One or more of magnesium, scandium, yttrium and lanthanide elements is along the bottom regions of the channel material pillars. Some embodiments include methods of forming assemblies. A structure is formed, and a mass is formed against an upper surface of the structure. Plugs are formed within openings in the mass. The plugs comprise a second material over a first material. The first material includes one or more of magnesium, scandium, yttrium and lanthanide elements. • Publication number: 20190189630
Abstract: Some embodiments include a method in which an assembly is formed to have voids within a stack, and to have slits adjacent the voids. Peripheral boundaries of the voids have proximal regions near the slits and distal regions adjacent the proximal regions. A material is deposited within the voids under conditions which cause the material to form to a greater thickness along the distal regions than along the proximal regions. Some embodiments include an assembly having a stack of alternating first and second levels. The second levels include conductive material. Panel structures extend through the stack. The conductive material within the second levels has outer edges with proximal regions near the panel structures and distal regions adjacent the proximal regions. Interface material is along the outer edges of the conductive material and has a different composition along the proximal regions than along the distal regions.

  • Publication number: 20190188298
Abstract: A function reference for a function is identified in a query. A plurality of processing environments that can provide the function is identified. Function costs for the function to process in the processing environments are obtained. Input data transfer costs are acquired for providing input data identified in the query to each of the functions. A specific one of the functions from a specific processing environment is selected based on the function costs and the input data transfer costs. A query execution plan for executing the query with the specific function is generated. The query execution plan is provided to a database engine for execution.

  • Patent number: 10324066
Abstract: A system is disclosed that increases the efficiency of a weld inspector by reducing the amount of weld data that needs to be examined for any non-destructive (“NDT”) phased array and time-of-flight, diffraction ultrasonic testing of welds. The system reads ultrasonic testing data from an NDT scan of a series of metal welds and creates a table of target weld indications ranked by a series of filters representative of predetermined exclusion and significance criteria. The invention acts as a weld analysis concentrator by focusing the attention of an inspector on potential weld flaws that merit their attention, thereby increasing the efficiency of the inspector. The process typically reduces 95% to 98% of the ultrasonic weld testing data that must be reviewed by the inspector, while retaining flaw indications necessary for an inspector's competent review in conformity with various code requirements and regulations.

  • Publication number: 20190177090
Abstract: The present invention relates to a transfer chute (100) for granular material, comprising a chute body defining a flow pathway (120) for granular material, a raised portion (110) having an inclined surface (111), and a splitter member (130) arranged proximal to the raised portion (110) for, in use, dividing a flow of granular material over the raised portion into first portion in first conduit (100) and a second portion in a second conduit (300). In some embodiments, a channel (150) is disposed between the first and second conduits (100; 300) to transpose a vertical arrangement of first and second portions of granular material within the chute (10). In this way, separation by particle size or density in the flow may be reversed.

  • Patent number: 10310130
Abstract: An apparatus that uses harmonics of the power line frequency at which electrical power is distributed is presented. The apparatus includes a sensor antenna to detect an electromagnetic field produced by a cable. The output of the sensor is fed to a mixer together with a signal from a sine wave generator at less than the fundamental power frequency to frequency shift the signals from the sensor. The mixed output is then amplified to provide an audible output. A single comb filter receives signals from the mixer and outputs a filtered signal removing non-harmonic frequencies but preferably passing both odd and even harmonics. The output of the comb filter is then integrated at and displayed to indicate the detection of a cable based on the filtered signal.

  • Publication number: 20190159395
Abstract: An angle adjustable coulter wheel assembly includes a rotatable shank having a longitudinal axis defined by an upper portion of the shank. The longitudinal axis is oriented neither vertically or horizontally with respect to the ground when the assembly is mounted on a tillage apparatus. A coulter wheel rotatably mounted on the shank proximate a lower portion of the shank. An actuator rotates the upper portion of the shank about the longitudinal axis to cause the face of the coulter wheel to rotate about three orthogonal axes thereby changing orientation of the face of the coulter wheel with respect to the ground when the assembly is on the tillage apparatus. The coulter wheel assembly permits adjusting the angle of the coulter wheel in at least two planes permitting greater control over how much soil the coulter wheel disturbs during tilling.

  • Publication number: 20190137288
Abstract: A network computer system operates to receive a plurality of service requests over a given time interval, where individual service requests specify a respective target destination and a current location of a respective requester device. For each service request, the network computer system arranges a pooled transport service for the corresponding requester by selecting a service start location, and instructions for enabling the requester to travel to the service start location. The network computer system may select the service provider based on a variety of considerations, including the service start location, the current location of the corresponding service provider, and the determined time interval.

  • Patent number: 10283524
Abstract: Some embodiments include a method of forming an integrated structure. An assembly is formed to include a stack of alternating first and second levels. The first levels have insulative material, and the second levels have voids which extend horizontally. The assembly includes channel material structures extending through the stack. A first metal-containing material is deposited within the voids to partially fill the voids. The deposited first metal-containing material is etched to remove some of the first metal-containing material from within the partially-filled voids. Second metal-containing material is then deposited to fill the voids.

  • Patent number: 10281290
Abstract: A travel coordination system provides suggestions to providers for where they should go to reduce the wait time between trips. A geographic region is broken down into zones and a score is generated for each zone. A zone score can be generated by determining the estimated wait time for the zone and generating a model for the wait time. A zone score can also be generated using a model for the wait time using factors that likely contribute to the wait time. The zone score for each zone is displayed to the provider on a road map of the geographic region along with the boundaries of each of the zones and the provider's position within the region. The travel coordination system also suggests driving routes. The travel coordination system selects a target zone and generates candidate routes to the zone. A route is selected based on route scores.

  • Patent number: 10277960
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for seeding video programs with episodic interactive items improve computer performance by averting tracking loss. The system includes a scene map table that maintains a scene record for every scene in the video. The scene record contains boundary information for the scene and linking information to companion scenes that are visually similar. When a developer tags an episodic item in the video for interactivity, the scene record for the scene where the item is tagged is accessed in the scene map table. The boundary information from this scene record is used to track the item across the scene without tracking loss and the linking information from this scene record is used to access scene records for companion scenes, allowing the item to be tracked across the companion scenes without tracking loss.
