  • Publication number: 20230041527
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes an operation device, a communication device, and a control device. The operation device receives an instruction according to an operation performed by a user. The communication device performs data communication with a plurality of image forming apparatuses. The control device acts as a calculator and a controller. The calculator calculates an evaluation value for each of one or more evaluation items designated by the user through the operation device and calculates a sum of the calculated evaluation values, as use priority, with respect to each of the plurality of image forming apparatuses. The controller transmits a print job, execution of which has been instructed by the user through the operation device, to the image forming apparatus that has gained highest user priority, via the communication device.

  • Publication number: 20230041728
Abstract: A print processing system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses, a terminal device, and a mobile device. A first controller of the terminal device is capable of writing information necessary for transmitting the print data, in the memory of the mobile device. A second controller of the image forming apparatus executes, upon reading out the necessary information written by the first controller from the memory of the mobile device, via the second wireless communication device, a first process necessary for transmitting the print data. A second controller of the image forming apparatus is capable of writing the necessary information in the memory of the mobile device. The first controller of the terminal device executes, upon reading out the necessary information written by the second controller from the memory of the mobile device, via the first wireless communication device, a second process necessary for transmitting the print data.

  • Patent number: 11576009
Abstract: A tracking device has a first transceiver, a second transceiver, and control logic. The first transceiver can transmit a first tracking signal for locating the tracking device to mobile devices via a first network. The mobile devices provide the first tracking signal to a tracking server. The second transceiver can transmit a second tracking signal for locating the tracking device to the tracking server via a second network. The control logic can configure the tracking device in a first state in which the first transceiver transmits the first tracking signal, and the second transceiver is disabled and does not transmit the second tracking signal. In response to determining that the tracking device cannot connect to the tracking server via the first network, the control logic configures the tracking device in a second state in which the second transceiver is enabled and transmits the second tracking signal.

  • Publication number: 20220229647
Abstract: A package manager used with a containerization platform can organize code portions into immutable layers. Collections of layers can be organized and saved together as an executable unit. Disclosed solutions recognize that because layers do not change, they can be reused by the same user and can also serve as shared building blocks for multiple environments running simultaneously. To facilitate sharing layers, a system can analyze which ones are common to multiple environments and allow multiple simultaneous environments to share common layers. Layer compression and dominator algorithms can be used to address inherent layer constraints. To facilitate use of existing layers for efficient start-up, code packages can be organized into base layers and additional layers, and commonly-used layers can be cached. New or unique environment requests can combine previously-cached base layers and additional layers to avoid redundant calculations.

  • Publication number: 20220088417
Abstract: The present invention is directed to multiple aperture devices (MADs) for beam shaping in x-ray imaging. Two or more of these binary filters can be placed in an x-ray beam in series to permit a large number of x-ray fluence profiles. However, the relationship between particular MAD designs and the achievable fluence patterns is complex. The present invention includes mathematical and physical models that are used within an optimization framework to find optimal MAD designs. Specifically, given a set of target fluence patterns, the present invention finds, for example, a dual MAD design that is a “best fit” in generating the desired fluence patterns. This process provides a solution for both the design of MAD filters as well as the control actuation that is required (relative motion between MADs) that needs to be specified as part of the operation of a MAD-based fluence field modulation system.

  • Patent number: 10970016
Abstract: In an image processing system, a controller of an image forming apparatus, when user identification information is entered, causes a communication device to transmit a transmission request for an encryption code to a mobile terminal device at which the user identification information has been set, and, when the communication device receives the encryption code, uses the encryption code to encrypt image data. A controller of the mobile terminal device, when a communication device receives the transmission request for the encryption code, converts a fingerprint of a user detected by a fingerprint sensor into the encryption code, and causes the communication device to transmit the encryption code to the image forming apparatus.
