  • Patent number: 9887930
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for aggregating requests for resources. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a set of requests for computing resources. Each request specifies one or more computing resources and, for each of the one or more computing resources, a quantity of the computing resource requested. A quantity-based provider condition that a request must meet for inclusion in an allocation process is identified. Each received request that fails to meet the quantity-based provider condition is included in a proper subset. Requests in the proper subset of requests are grouped into one or more groups based at least on the quantity of the one or more resources specified by each request of the proper subset and the quantity-based provider condition. A respective combined request is generated for each group of requests.

  • Publication number: 20160373935
Abstract: Methods and system are provided for allocating RF spectrum resources across multiple networks (e.g., a first and second lessor network) for use by wireless devices in a lessee network based on time, space and frequency. A network may be enabled to allocate excess spectrum resources for use by other network providers on a real-time basis. To accomplish this a communications server may be configured to determine the amount of radio frequency (RF) spectrum resources available for allocation within a first lessor network, determine the amount of RF spectrum resources available for allocation within a second lessor network, determine bearer services for the available RF spectrum resources in the first and second lessor networks, assign a first subset of the determined bearer services to the first lessor network, and assign a second subset of the determined bearer services to the second lessor network.

  • Patent number: 9510055
Abstract: Embodiments described herein include systems and methods for providing a social interface for sharing media experience information between households in a community. Users of different households may form the community. The social interface may be provided as an application on a mobile device or an Internet webpage as a portal to the community. The social interface may display a list of households, and a user of the interface may select a household from the list to view information on media being experienced within the household. The selected household may include separate groups of media players configured to render media in synchrony, and the social interface may display, upon selection of the household, a list of the separate groups included in the selected household. The user may then select a group from the list, among other actions, view information on media being rendered by the media players in the selected group.

  • Publication number: 20160342322
Abstract: Embodiments described herein include systems and methods for providing a social interface for sharing media experience information between households in a community. Users of different households may form the community. The social interface may be provided as an application on a mobile device or an Internet webpage as a portal to the community. An example implementation involves a device displaying representations of: a plurality of households; an indication of a selected household; one or more zones within the selected household; and a representation of media being played by a selected zone of the one or more zones. While displaying the representations, the device receives, from a server, data indicating updated information associated with the plurality of households; and, in response, updates the graphical display to display at least an updated representation of media being played by the selected zone.

  • Patent number: 9441660
Abstract: A method for Inserting and fixing a mounting insert into a lightweight sandwich panel. The panel comprises a core layer and two cover layers that are applied to opposing main surfaces of the panel. A recess extends into the depth of the core layer of the panel. The mounting insert is inserted into the recess and is adhesively bonded therein. The bottom of the recess extends to a depth of the core layer material that extends further than the longitudinal extension of the recessing section to be inserted. When adhesively bonding the mounting insert, an air gap remains between an end face of the recessing section and the bottom of the recess. No adhesive is placed into the air gap. The air gap ensures a decoupling so that any applied tensile forces are no longer transferred to the cover layer opposite and the undesired formation of dents is avoided.

  • Patent number: 9383289
Abstract: The present invention provides a water leak detection system for detecting water leaks in residential and commercial buildings or constructions. The water leak detection system provides central monitoring and point identification data of water leaks. The water detection system includes a plurality of address modules connected to a plurality of sensors for assigning an identifier to each sensor. The address modules are in wired or wireless communication with a central control unit, which processes detected sensor signals and notifies an alarm annunciator of point identification data of a water leak. The alarm annunciator provides visual and/or audible indications of where a water leak has been detected. The central control unit and/or alarm annunciator further operate a valve associated to the sensor in order to revert the water leak detection. The central control unit can further communicate the detection to a remote equipment, via a wired or wireless network communication.

  • Patent number: 9044326
Abstract: A femoral augment, or set of augments, for use with a knee joint prosthesis, where the femoral augment includes a main body portion, an aperture formed within the main body portion and extending in a generally distal/proximal direction, and a pair of legs extending outwardly from said main body portion in a generally posterior direction. In the preferred embodiment, the aperture is configured to receive a stem extension implant, and to allow it to pass through. Additionally, the legs of the femoral augment are preferably configured to be seated proximal of a proximal side of a pair of condylar portions of a femoral component of a knee joint prosthesis. The present invention is intended for situations in which the distal portion of the femur is defective, and it provides a method and devices that allow for preservation of healthy peripheral bone.
