  • Publication number: 20240074699
Abstract: Disclosed is a system, method, and apparatus for quantification and feedback of eye deviations during normal viewing conditions. A sensory biofeedback system serves to emit a sensory cue such as a tone or vibration when a certain threshold of eye deviation has been exceeded. The biofeedback system allows objective monitoring of the accuracy of eye alignment that can be used outside of a clinical setting or inside a clinical setting.

  • Patent number: 11908318
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to generating a bid for turn priority at an intersection. An autonomous vehicle determines that the autonomous vehicle and a second autonomous vehicle are proximate to an intersection. The autonomous vehicle generates a first bid that is indicative of a first importance that the autonomous vehicle traverses the intersection. The first bid is based upon characteristics of a trip of a passenger riding in the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous vehicle transmits the first bid to a networked computing system, wherein the networked computing system determines a turn order based upon the first bid and a second bid generated by the second autonomous vehicle. The networked computing system transmits the turn order to the autonomous vehicle, wherein the autonomous vehicle operates based upon the turn order.

  • Patent number: 11903383
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for the cryopreservation of biological samples involving a density assisted vitrification wherein a sample of biological material in a cryopreservation agent is cooled from its top surface, causing an ice layer to form thereon. As cooling continues the ice layer grows downwards through the sample to provide a cryoprotectant and biological material rich layer below the ice layer that undergoes vitrification as cooling continues to below the glass transition temperature.

  • Publication number: 20240035585
Abstract: Modular valve assemblies are disclosed. In embodiments the modular valve assemblies include a first frame and a second frame. The first frame includes a fluid inlet and first mount, and the second frame includes a fluid outlet and a second mount. A connection element extends between the first mount and the second mount. At least a first modular block and a second modular block are disposed on the connection element and position between the first and second frame. The first and second modular blocks may each be rotatable about the connection element between a use position and a maintenance position. In the use position, a composite flow path extends from the fluid inlet, through a first fluid flow path in the first modular block, through a second fluid flow path in the second modular block, and to the fluid outlet. Rotation of the first or second modular block to its maintenance position moves the first or second fluid flow path, respectively, out of the composite flow path.

  • Publication number: 20230409627
Abstract: A computing system that can receive an object search request from a user indicating a request to search for a specific object in an area traversed by one or more autonomous vehicle. The object search request can include a set of physical characteristics of the specific object. The computing system can then transmit a signal to an autonomous vehicle indicating a request for the autonomous vehicle to search for the specific object. The signal can cause the autonomous vehicle to transmit an image, selected based on a physical characteristic of the object, to the computing system. The computing system can then generate a score indicative of a difference between one or more physical characteristic of the object in the image and the specific object. The computing system can then selectively transmit the image to a mobile device operated by the user based on the score.

  • Patent number: 11622404
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for reliable communication between a source device, and two or more sink devices. In one aspect, a sink device closest in proximity to the source device can establish a wireless data transfer with the source device. In another aspect, the sink device having the more favorable radio channel conditions can establish a wireless data transfer with the source device. In some aspects, the sink devices can forward audio data received from the source device over a secondary communication link. The audio data can be forwarded to the other sink device automatically, or upon request from the other sink device. The secondary communication link can be implemented as a magnetic communication link, or as a Bluetooth communication link.

  • Publication number: 20230049622
Abstract: An apparatus for promoting vascular circulation, including a garment configured to at least partially surround an anatomical structure of a patient. A compression element is coupled to the garment and configured to compress at least a portion of the anatomical structure when the compression element is actuated. A controller is configured to selectively actuate the compression element over a plurality of cycles. Each cycle has an actuated time during which the compression element is arranged to exert a first pressure and an unactuated time during which the compression element is arranged to exert a second pressure different than the first pressure, and the controller is configured to use a random value in determining the deflated time of one or more of the cycles.

  • Patent number: 11576373
Abstract: Apparatus are provided for preventing the formation of ice crystals in a biological sample containing a non-Newtonian fluid as a cryopreservation medium. The apparatus may be used to prevent ice formation during cryopreservation of biological samples, or during warming of cryopreserved biological samples, by changing the viscosity of the non-Newtonian fluid. The apparatus (200) comprises a housing (202) for a container (212) containing the biological sample (214) and the non-Newtonian fluid, and a device (204) for inducing a change in viscosity of the cryopreservation medium. The change in viscosity may be increased by inducing shear thickening of the cryopreservation medium, or the change in viscosity may be decreased by inducing shear thinning of the cryopreservation medium. Possible viscosity-changing devices comprise a tapping device, a piston, a rotating device, a compression device, a sound generating device, a permanent magnet or a electromagnetic field generating device.

  • Patent number: 11537716
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer readable media, network traffic manager apparatuses, and systems that assist with detecting changes to a firmware software components, and configuration parameters includes obtaining an executable file comprising a basic input-output system firmware and software component data of a hardware component at run-time. A hash value for the obtained executable file at the run-time is identified. The identified hash value is compared with a stored hash value associated with the obtained executable file to determine when the obtained executable file is unmodified, wherein the stored hash value was determined at a build time of the hardware component. The obtained executable file of the hardware component is executed when the obtained executable file is determined to be unmodified.
