  • Publication number: 20180131555
Abstract: According to some embodiments, an apparatus for generating multiple variable frequency and phase locked clock signals comprises complex tuners, digital up-samplers, image isolation filters, quadrature modulators, a combiner, a DAC, a local oscillator, and an analog filter. The complex tuners tune multiple digital baseband signals. The up-samplers interpolate the complex tuned digital signals such that one of the up-sampled images of each of the complex tuned digital signals corresponds to a desired frequency. The image isolation filters isolate images corresponding to the desired frequencies. The quadrature modulators convert the isolated images of the complex tuned digital signals into real digital signals. The combiner combines the real digital signals into a combined real digital signal. The DAC, driven by the local oscillator, converts the combined real digital signal into an analog clock signal. The analog filter then filters the analog clock signal to select images located at the desired frequencies.

  • Publication number: 20180048987
Abstract: In an embodiment, a control device transmits wireless power to an IoT device via a magnetic coupling between at least one antenna of the IoT device and a magnetic field that is generated by the control device. The IoT device powers a short-range wireless communications interface at the IoT device using some or all of the wireless power, which is then used to transfer a firmware update for the IoT device and/or exchange diagnostic information. In another embodiment, a dual-mode wireless power transfer device includes dual-mode wireless power transceiver circuitry that permits operation in a receive-power mode or a transmit-power mode. Wireless power is transmitted by the dual-mode wireless power transfer device in the transmit-power mode, and wireless power is received by the dual-mode wireless power transfer device in the receive-power mode.

  • Patent number: 9853755
Abstract: A method of operating a radio in a vehicle includes tuning the radio to a first radio source. Information identifying the first radio source is transmitted from the vehicle to a remote processor. The processor monitors broadcast content of the first radio source on a web site. The processor identifies a second radio source having broadcast content matching the broadcast content of the first radio source. Information identifying the second radio source is transmitted from the processor to the vehicle. When a quality of a broadcast signal from the first radio source received at the vehicle falls below a threshold quality level, tuning of the radio is switched from the first radio source to the second radio source.
