  • Patent number: 10004368
Abstract: A splash shield for a toilet plunger or brush includes a membrane that fits over the top of a toilet bowl. The membrane seals tightly around the toilet bowl rim and has an aperture proximate the center so the user can slide the plunger or brush handle up through the aperture and affix the edges of the membrane around the toilet bowl, and then plunge or clean the toilet. After use, the user can remove the membrane from the toilet bowl and wrap the contaminated head of the plunger or brush within the membrane and take it away to be cleaned. A new membrane may be placed on the cleaned plunger or brush to act as a sanitary cover until its next use.

  • Publication number: 20100186179
Abstract: A workpiece system with a reciprocating motion which includes a motor assembly for producing an output drive signal with a periodic force pulse. The drive signal is coupled to a driven member assembly through a magnetic arrangement, wherein the driven member assembly has a workpiece mounted thereon with a return spring assembly. The driven member assembly has a resonant mechanical frequency. As the RPM of the motor increases from zero following startup, the drive signal frequency increases to the point very near resonance, where the energy from the drive signal is transferred into the reciprocating motion of the driven assembly, producing an effective amplitude of workpiece motion.

  • Publication number: 20080175664
Abstract: A roadway-support bird protection arrangement and method for preventing birds from entering and damaging hollow cores of elongated roadway support structures. The elongated roadway support structures are longitudinally spaced apart to allow for expansion and contraction therebetween. The inventive arrangement includes an elongated foraminous web of material having generally parallel side edges, a reinforcement arrangement on its side edges, an attachment member spaced along the reinforcement member to permit the foraminous web to be supportively hung between adjacent, longitudinally spaced apart roadway support structures so as to keep birds from entering the support structures. The elongated foraminous web is preferably formed in a “V” shape with elongated side wings thereon for disposition between and attachment to the roadway support structures.

  • Publication number: 20080028547
Abstract: The power toothbrush, which has a rotating brushhead movement, includes a housing with a motor mounted therein having an armature which in operation rotates through an arc of predetermined magnitude. The toothbrush also includes a brushhead mounted on a shaft which is connected to an output mass. A spring assembly couples the armature to the output mass, the spring assembly including two spring portions with a node point therebetween, wherein when the armature rotates, the brushhead moves in an opposite direction. The frequency of the movement of the armature is set equal to the resonant frequency of the spring coupling system and the output assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070151180
Abstract: Trim components incorporating a nail flange and/or one or more siding receiving spaces/slots. A single-piece corner trim component of board construction defining a seamless outer surface and a pair of siding receiving spaces/slots. A method of manufacturing a single-piece corner trim component by forming first and second siding receiving spaces along first and second edges, respectively, of an inner surface of a board, the first and second siding receiving spaces being substantially parallel to each other; forming a substantially V-shaped groove in the inner surface of the board, the V-shaped groove is disposed substantially parallel to each of the first and second siding receiving spaces and is defined by a first slanted edge, a second slanted edge and a skin disposed between the vertex of the V-shaped groove and an outer surface of the board, and joining together the first and second slanted edges so that the skin defines a seamless outer corner.
