  • Publication number: 20050140104
Abstract: A casing has a hollow body, at least one wheel holder and at least one wheel. The body has at least one cavity to respectively receive the at least one wheel holder. Each wheel is rotatably mounted on one of the at least one wheel holder. With the arrangement of the at least one wheel, the casing can be transported conveniently and easily.

  • Publication number: 20050088587
Abstract: A direct-light illuminating backlight unit with a reflective structure for a liquid crystal display has a case with a back, at least one lamp mounted in alignment with the back, a reflective layer formed on the back and facing the lamp. The case has a front opening that has at least one brighter region immediately in front of the lamp and at least one dimmer region away from the lamp. The reflective layer is composed of multiple reflective protrusions each has two inclined faces. Each inclined face projects light radiated backward from the lamp onto the dimmer region. Therefore, light emit from the illuminating backlight unit has a homogenous brightness.

  • Publication number: 20050088399
Abstract: A direct-light illuminating backlight unit with shielding mask for a liquid crystal display has a case with a back, at least one lamp mounted in alignment with the back, and at least one shielding mask mounted in the case in front of the corresponding lamp. The case has a front opening that has at least one brighter region immediately in front of the lamp and at least one dimmer region away from the lamp. The shielding mask is made of opaque material and has openings to let light through. The shielding mask allows only some light radiated forward from the lamp to pass through to the front opening, so that the luminance of the brighter area is reduced and the brightness of the emitting light at the front opening is more homogenous.

  • Publication number: 20050047174
Abstract: A direct-light illuminating backlight unit for LCD module has two elongated lamps, each of which is bent into a substantial S-shape having three straight portions and two connection portions connected with the neighboring straight portions respectively. The lamps are mounted side by side on a frame with the straight portions of the lamps are substantially parallel to each other and interval pitches between the straight portions are substantially equal to each other. Such arrangement of the backlight unit is applied to LCD modules with nominal sizes ranged from 12 inches to 17 inches and more preferably applied to modules of, in name, 14 inches or 15 inches.
