  • Publication number: 20200269079
Abstract: An exercise device comprises a base. A power mechanism and a vibration mechanism are each disposed in the base. The power mechanism powers the vibration mechanism. The vibration mechanism provides linear vibrations through the base of the device in a first axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of a user standing on the base. In some embodiments, the device is substantially free of vibration in a plane orthogonal to the first axis and is substantially free of rotational vibration in any direction at a time when the vibration mechanism provides the first plurality of linear vibrations. In some embodiments, the vibration mechanism operates between 10 and 60 Hz. In some embodiments an exercise kit is provided that includes the referenced exercise device, an exercise bar, and one or more elastic bands, each elastic band for removably coupling the base to the exercise bar.

  • Publication number: 20200269080
Abstract: A variable resistance exercise device is provided that comprises a pair of arm bands and a handle tube that has a longitudinal interior bore. The tube has first and second ends and includes a solid metal center shaft fitted through the interior bore thereby exposing respective first and second end portions of the shaft at the respective first and second ends of the tube. The first and second band arm of the pair of bands arms are respectively fitted onto the first and second ends of the shaft. In some instances, the device is part of a kit that includes a base having a bottom face, where the bottom face includes a groove, and one or more elastic bands, each such band configured to removably couple the base to the exercise bar by fitting the into the groove of the base and through the first and second arm bands.

  • Publication number: 20200254294
Abstract: A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface and a frame coupled to the loading interface for performing an exercise. The linear adjustment system fixes the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in a functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. The device allows exercisers to exert high or maximum loads in any one of a plurality of positions throughout their entire range of motion without first passing through a weak range of motion.

  • Publication number: 20170080287
Abstract: A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The linear adjustment system varies a length of the device thereby fixing the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in the functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. • Patent number: 9084912
Abstract: An exercise machine includes loading contact surfaces. An actuator is configured to adjust a position of the loading contact surface. A user controls the actuator through a user interface to adjust the loading contact surface's position in a first exercise session. A processor is configured to automatically monitor the loading contact surface's position as adjusted by the user in the first exercise session, and to automatically control the actuator to move the loading contact surface in a subsequent session to the same or a different position as in the previous session.

  • Patent number: 7959540
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating an isometric contraction exercise regimen for many subjects across a network are provided. One or more exercise constraints are developed for a subject as a function of the medical health information of the subject. The subject performs a plurality of isometric contraction exercises using exercise equipment always in the presence of a personal fitness trainer thereby producing an exercise result. The exercise equipment has a strain gauge in order to impose exercise constraints in the one or more exercise constraints. A mandatory recovery period for the subject is then imposed. During this mandatory recovery period, the subject does not perform isometric constraints exercises. These steps are repeated using a new set of one or more exercise constraints that were refined based upon the exercise result of a previous isometric contraction exercise work out session.
