Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to improve map type data visualizations in which custom images are used as background against which datasets are visualized. In various examples, coordinate systems are automatically generated and applied to the custom image based on the positional data of the dataset. The custom image may replace a pre-existing background, and the plotting of the dataset may be automatically modified based on differences between the pre-existing background and the custom image. Aspects provide for enhanced user control of the map type visualization to further modify how datasets are plotted and how visualizations are presented. Example modifications include offsets and scales, which may be automatically determined and applied or set manually. In some examples, the custom image may be part of a set of image tiles, which are operable to provide various levels of detail from several viewing angles and heights.

Abstract: A graphical manipulation tool to create and/or make modifications to a graphical object suitable for visually representing data. The graphical manipulation tool analyzes the graphical object to determine parameters of visual characteristics of the graphical object that can be used to visually represent data. A computing system, through the graphical manipulation tool, may generate metadata that defines a capacity for visual characteristics to represent data. In some cases, a preview is displayed on a user interface indicating to a user how the metadata, if incorporated with the graphical object, may result in the visual characteristics of the graphical object being used to visually represent data. If incorporating the metadata with the graphical object is desirable, the user may provide to include the additional metadata with the graphical object.

Abstract: An airbag system assembly configured to be positioned in the interior of a vehicle that includes an aft wall configured to be positioned forward of a passenger seat and an airbag system. The aft wall includes front and aft surfaces and the aft wall includes a first flap that is formed by a plurality of weakness lines in at least the front surface thereof. The airbag system includes at least a first airbag module having a first airbag support plate with front and aft surfaces. The first airbag support plate is secured to the front surface of the aft wall, and the first airbag support plate includes a first airbag that is configured to deploy in the event of a crash condition and that is disposed on the aft surface of the first airbag support plate. The first airbag is positioned adjacent the first flap.

Abstract: An external adjustment device includes at least one permanent magnet configured for rotation about an axis with a first handle extending linearly at a first end of the device and a second handle at a second end of the device, the second handle extending in a direction substantially off axis to the first handle. The external adjustment device further includes a motor mounted inside the first handle and a first button located in the proximity to one of the first handle or the second handle, the first button configured to be operated by the thumb of a hand that grips the one of the first handle or second handle. The first button is configured to actuate the motor causing the at least one permanent magnet to rotate about the axis in a first direction.

Abstract: A blower/vacuum being interchangeable between a blower configuration and a vacuum configuration is provided. The blower/vacuum includes a blower assembly attachable to a base in the blower configuration and a vacuum assembly attachable to the base in the vacuum configuration. The blower/vacuum includes a fan member that has both a first fan and a second fan integrally formed together, wherein the first fan is utilized to generate air flow in the blower configuration and the second fan is utilized to generate air flow in the vacuum configuration.

Abstract: The use of visual cues associated with rendered visual items to cue a user on whether a rendered visual item has interactive capability and/or what type of interaction is possible with that visual item. The visual items may be rendered in a data driven way with each constructed using a corresponding parameterized view component. The parameter(s) are populated by data, perhaps by model variables obtained from an analytical model. The parameters then drive logic associated with the view component to thereby construct a visual item which may then be rendered. The rendering engine then renders the visual item with the visual cue. The user may then interact with the rendered visual item. Such interaction might cause some external action to occur, might change which visual items are displayed, and/or might change a value of the input parameters of one or more view components used to generate displayed visual items.

Abstract: Techniques or processes for providing markings on products are disclosed. The markings provided on products can be textual and/or graphic. The techniques or processes can provide high resolution markings on surfaces that are flat or curved. In one embodiment, the products have housings and the markings are to be provided on the housings. For example, the housing for a particular product can include an outer housing surface and the markings can be provided on the outer housing surface.

Abstract: A starting system for an internal combustion engine automatically operates a starting feature on a carburetor associated with the engine. The starting system includes a cam with a bearing mounted on the crankshaft. The bearing is secured so that its inner race will always rotate with the crankshaft. The cam has bosses on one side and is shaped such that it includes a base and a lobe with an outer surface surrounding the cam. At least one spring-loaded pawl is mounted on the flywheel. The pawl is biased to engage a cam boss so as to cause the cam to rotate with the crankshaft during a start-up process. A spring loaded rocker arm is pivotally mounted adjacent the cam. The rocker arm has a roller assembly configured to ride on the outer surface of the cam. As the cam rotates, the roller assembly riding on the cam surface is pushed outward by the cam lobe. A throttle cable is attached at a first end to the rocker arm and at its opposite end to the starting feature on the carburetor.

A visual display component may be analyzed to assess whether it is capable of receiving user input representing changes that correspond to types of changes of the identified dimensions of the data set. A suitable visual display component may be provided as a suggestion on a user interface for potentially using the visual display component to allow a user to interact with the data. In some embodiments, a visual display component includes a number of visual objects and/or visually interactive components for use within a graphical user interface. A visual display component may include one or more analytic patterns having at least one of an equation, rule, constraint, expression or combination thereof that represents the analytic pattern. Alternatively, a visual display component may involve a visual display representation of data through visual characteristics of a graphical object.

Abstract: A prevention-based network auditing system includes a central compliance server providing a user interface allowing a user to schedule and configure a network audit. The configured audit is stored in an audit repository until its scheduled time. At such a time, the compliance server automatically invokes one or more audit servers to gather information about the network. The compliance server receives the gathered information and electronically applies a network policy to the information for determining compliance with the policy. A remediation task may be generated if the policy has been violated, and the task monitored until its completion.

The processor is programmed to generate at least one of time-based or event-based messages relating to at least one of flow generator operation, flow generator service, flow generator use, patient health, peripheral devices and services, patient treatment, and reminders. Time-based messages are generated at predetermined time intervals based on either time of use or elapsed time. The event-based messages are generated based on signals from the operation sensors. The user interface is configured to deliver the messages to at least one of a display, a flow generator service provider, the patient and a physician. By this system, operation of the flow generator is facilitated and enhanced.

Abstract: A flow generator and humidifier construction is described, including a flow generator construction adapted to reduce noise output compared to known flow generators of comparable size. The flow generator includes a chassis forming first and second muffler volumes and a venturi-shaped connection portion, and a metal/polymer composite material blower enclosure which suppresses noise from the blower. The flow generator may be programmed to include a reminder system including a menu from which the user may request a reminder to take specific action, e.g., replace a component, call a physician, and/or enter patient data card, etc.

Abstract: Computer kiosks include input/output devices interactive user applications for local users. The operation of the interactive user applications, input/output devices and other kiosk hardware are monitored by software modules resident thereon, with status reporting to a remote computer system. The remote computer system allows users to monitor the operation of multiple, geographically disparate computer kiosks, and to remotely input commands thereto. Analytics relating to kiosk and application usage can also be captured and reported.

Abstract: An overhead door torsion spring adjuster having a housing, first and second gears positioned within the housing, and a first shaft coupled with the first gear. The second gear has a base positioned within the housing, a collar that is integral with the base, and an opening that extends through the base and collar. The base engages the first gear. The collar is operable to be coupled with a second shaft that is received by the opening. Preferably, the spring adjuster includes a locking mechanism that is operable to prevent rotation of the first shaft.
