  • Publication number: 20240011601
Abstract: A lubricant delivery apparatus for installation on a device that includes a moving component that is actuated by an actuating fluid from an actuating fluid source is disclosed. The apparatus includes a lubricant supply reservoir and a pump operably coupled to the reservoir for receiving a pre-determined amount of lubricant from the reservoir and for discharging the pre-determined amount of lubricant from the apparatus. The apparatus has a non-actuated state, wherein the predetermined amount of lubricant is disposed within the pump and an actuated state wherein the predetermined amount of lubricant is discharged from the pump. While the apparatus is installed on the device, the pump is operably coupled to the actuating fluid source such that actuation of the moving component is with effect that the apparatus transitions from the non-actuated state to the actuated state such that the predetermined amount of lubricant is delivered to the moving component.

  • Patent number: 11862004
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for facilitating disabling an alarm in response to particular types of activity-indicative data. More specifically, activity-indicative data (e.g., sensor data or input(s) can be detected prior to a preset alarm time. Upon determining, based on the activity-indicative data, that a wakefulness condition is satisfied (e.g., that the activity-indicative data corresponds to one or more predefined characteristics), a disablement query can be displayed that includes an option to disable the alarm. In response to detecting a selection of the option, the alarm can be disabled such that the alarm stimuli is not to be presented at the preset alarm time.

  • Patent number: 11836851
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for calculating dynamic ambient occlusion (AO) values for character models to yield high-quality approximations of global illumination effects. The approach utilizes a dual component machine-learning model that factorizes dynamic AO computation into a non-linear component, in which visibility is determined by approximating spheres and their casted shadows, and a linear component that leverages a skinning-like algorithm for efficiency. The parameters of both components are trained in a regression against ground-truth AO values. The resulting model accommodates lighting interactions with external objects and can be generalized without requiring carefully constructed training data.

  • Patent number: 11814133
Abstract: The disclosed method may include configuring one or more brakes based on a braking-related attribute expected at a geographic location being traversed by a personal mobility vehicle. By configuring the application of brakes of a personal mobility vehicle based on terrain, environmental conditions, and other geographic features, the system may reduce the risk of the vehicle skidding or tipping due to over-braking. In some embodiments, a rider may use a single brake lever to indicate a desire to brake and the system may make determinations about how to apply a combination of mechanical and electrical brakes to front and back wheels based at least in part on the location of the personal mobility vehicle. By configuring brake engagement based on a combination of controls and map data, the system may improve user experience and user safety, especially for inexperienced riders.
