  • Publication number: 20190176791
Abstract: A quick service limiting valve includes a housing defining an interior chamber, a brake pipe passageway, and a brake cylinder passageway, a valve member received within the interior chamber of the housing, with the valve member including a body, a first seal, a second seal, and a valve spring. The body of the valve member defines a valve passageway, with the valve member having a first position where the valve passageway allows fluid communication between the brake pipe passageway and the brake cylinder passageway and a second position where the brake pipe passageway is isolated from the brake cylinder passageway. The valve further includes a follower assembly received within the interior chamber of the housing, with the follower assembly including a body, a first check valve, a second check valve, a diaphragm, and a follower spring.

  • Publication number: 20190054935
Abstract: A parking brake control module using pneumatic logic to control a parking brake on a railway vehicle. The control module includes a brake pipe passageway, a reservoir passageway, a reservoir release valve, and an actuation cylinder vent valve. The control module applies or releases the parking brake based on pressures of the brake pipe and reservoir. A method uses pneumatic logic to control a parking brake on a railway car. The parking brake is applied when the brake pipe pressure falls below a lower brake pipe pressure threshold and is released when the brake pipe pressure exceeds an upper brake pipe pressure threshold and the reservoir pressure exceeds a reservoir pressure threshold. A hold valve can allow an operator to manually prevent the release of the parking brake.

  • Publication number: 20170358011
Abstract: Response latencies in a system are reduced by performing a plurality of auctions in parallel using respective processing threads. An ad call associated with an impression for a webpage requested by a user computer is received by the system. Impression information is obtained based on the ad call, which is then used to determine a subset of multiple potential impression providers that are to participate in an auction for the impression. Behavior models may be used to determine the subset, while floor or reserve price models are used to set a floor/reserve price for each potential impression provider in the subset. Bid requests are sent out in parallel to the subset of potential impression providers using the respective floor/reserve prices, with a thread allocated to each bid request. The models can be further trained on information obtained from the received bid responses and impression information.

  • Patent number: 9619467
Abstract: A dynamic classification dictionary is built for use in profiling and targeting users for additional relevant content. Behavioral data is gathered from user activity, and user documents and actions are categorized. Author-generated document classification information is analyzed and assigned a first taxonomic noun to characterize the document. User-generated tags characterizing a portion of the document are assigned a second taxonomic noun. Search terms that resulted in the user accessing the document are identified and assigned a third taxonomic noun. Attributes related to the manner in which the document was accessed are evaluated and assigned a fourth taxonomic noun. The document is processed using pattern rules to extract a fifth taxonomic noun. The taxonomic nouns are aggregated into a composite set of taxonomic nouns, and the dynamic classification dictionary is built by storing the composite set of taxonomic nouns.
