  • Patent number: 9950776
Abstract: Weed-trimmer outboard motor attachment has a lower shaft housing with a proximal coupling to correspondingly mate and engage a distal mid-shaft coupling of an upper part of a motorized weed-trimming device having a motor and a shaft that rotate a number of rotations per minute when operating; a distal termination thereto, which includes a propeller; and a rotation speed reduction unit to reduce a number of rotations of the propeller in relation to the number of rotations of the motor of the motorized weed-trimming device. The attachment can be assembled with the weed-trimming device to provide an outboard motor. A mount for mounting the weed-trimmer outboard motor to a boat can be provided as well.

  • Patent number: 9917434
Abstract: A wire cable assembly, such as those used in electric or hybrid electric vehicles, having a plurality of shielded wire cables spliced together. The center conductors are joined together and enclosed in an inner insulator. The shield conductors of the cable are joined by an electrically conductive sleeve enclosing the inner insulator and attached to the shield conductors of the shielded wire cables. The sleeve separates the outer insulating layers of the shielded wire cables. The sleeve is encased by an outer insulator that is sealed to the outer insulating layers of the shielded wire cables. A method of splicing shielded wire cables together is also presented.

  • Publication number: 20180027271
Abstract: A server receives metadata associated with an advertisement in a transport signal stream from an encoder, the metadata identifying a specified frame of the transport signal stream corresponding to a point in time of the advertisement. The server instructs an encoder, by a server, to insert a marker into the specified frame of the transport signal stream, the marker identifying the point in time of the advertisement. The server receives data from a smart appliance. The server detects the marker in the data. The server identifies the marker as the specified frame of the transport signal stream played by the smart appliance. The server maps the marker to the identified point in time of the advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20170370217
Abstract: A process and associated system for the improved reclamation of disturbed lands (e.g., mined lands) is disclosed. In particular, the system including a dewatering cyclone, a screw classifier, and a dewatering apparatus (e.g. a dewatering belt) arranged in series to enable rapid and cost effective dewatering of slurries containing dilute clay and sand tailings to create an improved engineered reclamation material (ERM). The ERM formed by the controlled combining of dewatered sand tailings with dilute clay slurry and with a flocculant and overburden. The ratio of clay:sand:overburden of the ERM may be achieved by balancing the solid content (Cw) and water content (1-Cw) materials of the clay slurry, sand tailings and overburden. In some embodiments, the system may include at least one additional component, such as, for example, static screen(s), centrifuge(s), vibrating screens, drum screens, belt screens, belt filters, and/or other liquid-solid separation devices.

  • Patent number: 9827490
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention allow a touch screen device to operate as a gamepad for a video game running on a separate gaming device. Aspects of the present invention provide a virtual control interface through the touch screen that includes virtual game controls that perform the same function as a directional pad, buttons, triggers, and sticks found on a gamepad or other game controller. In one aspect, the virtual control interface provides an output that is substantially similar to an output generated by a gamepad able to interact with the gaming device. Substantially similar outputs allow a gaming device to respond to a functional control from a gamepad and an equivalent functional control from the virtual control interface the same way and without translation. Aspects of the present invention can provide different virtual control interfaces for different video game titles, different genres, and based on user customization.

  • Patent number: 9798892
Abstract: A system and method for scheduling data transfers between systems. One or more data requesting systems may request access to particular data. The request for access to the particular data may correspond to a request that a task to be performed. The task may be to exchange the particular data between a data accessing system having access to the particular data and a data requesting system requesting access to the particular data. The communication exchange may be scheduled for processing. In some embodiments, the communication exchange may be initiated based on a parameter included in the request that the task be performed.

  • Publication number: 20170274284
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention split game processing and rendering between a client and a game server. A rendered video game image is received from a game server and combined with a rendered image generated by the game client to form a single video game image that is presented to a user. Control input is received by a client device and then communicated to a game server, potentially with some preprocessing, and is also consumed locally on the client, at least in part. An embodiment of the present invention processes and renders some or all of a character's interactions with game objects on the client device associated with the character. A character is associated with a client device when control input associated with the character is received from a user of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20170255445
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to methods and systems for deriving automation instructions. In one scenario, a computer system derives automation instructions by performing the following: rendering a user interface (UI) based on information from an information source and receiving natural language inputs from a user, where the natural language inputs specify an element description and an action type for UI elements rendered in the UI. The method also includes identifying UI elements in the UI that match the element descriptions in the natural language input and whose actions are performable according to their specified action type, and mapping the natural language inputs into executable code using information that corresponds to the identified UI elements.

  • Publication number: 20170255475
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to traversing and mapping a user interface. In one scenario, a computer system performs a method for traversing and mapping a user interface that includes the following: rendering a user interface (UI) based on data received from an information source, constructing an element collection with UI elements, the element collection describing relationships that exist between the UI elements, traversing the element collection to identify various node element types, identifying, within a pre-defined action set, an action associated with at least one of the identified node element types, executing the identified action against the identified node element types, and logging at least one network request resulting from the executed action.
