  • Patent number: 5345141
Abstract: A single substrate, vacuum fluorescent display including a first layer of electrically conductive material positioned on a supporting substrate and a light emitting layer including phosphor positioned on the first layer. A second layer of electrically conductive material is supported on the substrate and electrically insulated from the first layer. An electron emitting layer of low work function material is positioned on the second layer and further positioned so that emitted electrons strike the light emitting layer. Since both the electron emitting and the light emitting layers are supported on the substrate, an encapsulating window is simple and easy to construct. Integrated drivers are optionally formed in the supporting substrate.

  • Patent number: 5320260
Abstract: A dispensing device to be fitted to the top of a container and to be used to dispense heavy or viscous fluid from the container. It is a unitary structure that comprises generally a spout having a fluid passageway, a rod extending through the center of the spout, and a skirt bounding the base of the spout. The rod is joined to the inner wall of the spout by a relatively thin rectangular brace. The rod is generally cylindrical and has chamfered ends. An annular, curved member is formed inside the skirt and extends away from the spout to form a bottomless bowl portion interconnecting the spout passageway to form a continuous fluid passageway. The rod provides additional surface area for the liquid to cling to while it is being dispensed and also delays venting as the container is righted after the desired amount of liquid is dispensed, thereby preventing drippage.

  • Patent number: 4278577
Abstract: Bis(sulfonamides) containing one or more hindered phenol groups are disclosed, as is their use as thermal stabilizers for polymers. Further stabilization results from combinations thereof with a thiodipropionate ester and a divalent metal salt of a carboxylic acid.

  • Patent number: 3998863
Abstract: Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN R is a branched chain alkyl group containing three to about twelve carbon atoms; Y is the residue of the carboxylic acid Y(COOH)n, provided that when Y is alkyl and n is one, Y contains more than ten carbon atoms; and n is one to four. These compounds are useful as antioxidants in organic substrates, such as polyolefines, rubber, etc.
