  • Publication number: 20050233216
Abstract: A rechargeable battery is provided such that the positive electrode comprises lead dioxide, the negative electrode zinc, iron, lead or cadmium, and the electrolyte is alkaline. Upon discharge, the lead dioxide is reduced to lead oxide, the metal is oxidized to an oxide, and the electrolyte remains unchanged. The reactions are reversed when the battery is charged.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 27, 2005
    Publication date: October 20, 2005

  • Publication number: 20050088802
Abstract: An electrical capacitor is disclosed that includes a mixture of electrically conductive particles and non-conductive particles placed between two parallel conductive plates. The electrically conductive particles are also magnetic. By exposing the mixture of particles to a magnetic field, the electrically conductive particles have been oriented to provide a conductive network.

  • Publication number: 20050050216
Abstract: Graphics resources are virtualized through an interface between graphics hardware and graphics clients. The interface allocates the graphics resources across multiple graphics clients, processes commands for access to the graphics resources from the graphics clients, and resolves conflicts for the graphics resources among the clients.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 12, 2004
    Publication date: March 3, 2005

  • Patent number: 6096972
Abstract: One embodiment of a non-metallic floor box for use in electrical in-floor power and communication distribution systems for office buildings and the like includes a closed housing having a base, a top and vertically extending side walls defining an interior volume. The floor box prevents concrete from entering the housing during pouring and setting of the concrete floor, and is adapted to be cut off substantially flush with and parallel to the concrete floor in which it is set. The floor box housing includes gradient markings disposed on at least one of its side walls to indicate the interior volume of the housing and/or the depth of the concrete floor.

  • Patent number: 5783774
Abstract: A non-metallic floor box for use in electrical in-floor power and communication distribution systems includes a plurality of sets of vertically aligned indexing teeth formed in the interior of the housing side wall. An adapter ring is sized for insertion into the housing interior for supporting an activation kit above the housing interior compartment. The adapter ring has flanges extending from its periphery which are positioned to reciprocally mate with the vertical rows of teeth when the adapter ring is inserted into the housing interior compartment. The flanges and teeth are constructed to permit the ring to be inserted into the housing but to restrict its removal from the housing after its insertion therein. An activation cover is securable to the top of the adapter ring and extends beyond the perimeter of the side wall to limit the distance the adapter ring can be inserted into the housing.
