  • Publication number: 20160005411
Abstract: Methods and devices are described whereby a representation of an original PCM signal may be reversibly degraded in a controlled manner and information losslessly embedded to produce a streamable PCM signal, which provides a controlled audio quality when played on standard players and conditional access to a lossless presentation of the original PCM signal. Using such techniques allows control over the level of degradation of the signal and also flexibility in the type information of information embedded. Some methods require a song key, which is employed in one or both of the degrading and embedding steps and for creating a token. These methods may further require a user key, which is used to encrypt the song key before creating the token.

  • Publication number: 20160006758
Abstract: A method of enhancing secure operation of a computer is disclosed. The computer receives input data from one us to source and also operates an application program which can utilise the input data. The method involves creating a tainted value cache and storing the input data in that cache. In the event that the application program invokes a method which utilises data from the cache, then that data is intercepted before it is utilised by the application program. The intercepted data is subjected to a data content test. If the intercepted data passes the data content test, then the intercepted data is forwarded to the application program to be utilised thereby. However, if the intercepted data fails the data content test, a security action is implemented.

  • Publication number: 20160002651
Abstract: In the tgd1-1 mutant that displays substantially enhanced TAG synthesis and turnover, disruption of SUGAR-DEPENDENT1 (SDP1) TAG lipase or PEROXISOMAL TRANSPORTER1 (PXA1) severely decreases FA turnover, leading to an increase in leaf TAG content up to 9% of dry weight and total leaf lipid by three-fold. The membrane lipid content and composition of tgd1-1 sdp1-4 and tgd1-1 pxa1-2 double mutants are altered and they are compromised in growth and development and fertility.

  • Publication number: 20160002991
Abstract: A method for estimating equivalent top of fluid level or a theoretical surface annular back pressure in a subterranean wellbore includes acquiring first and second axially spaced pressure measurements in the wellbore. The pressure measurements may then be processed to compute the equivalent top of fluid level and/or theoretical surface annular back pressure of drilling fluid between the measurement locations. A tool string including a large number of axially spaced pressure sensors (e.g., four or more or even six or more) electronically coupled with a surface processor via wired drill pipe may be used to obtain a plurality of values corresponding to various wellbore intervals. The equivalent top of fluid level and/or theoretical surface annular back pressures may be used in automated managed pressure drilling operations.

  • Publication number: 20160002791
Abstract: A method for producing an electrically conductive structure, e.g., a conducting track, on a non-conductive substrate material, having an additive (1) having at least one metal compound. The substrate material may be irradiated using a laser to selectively activate the metal compounds, for example inorganic metal compounds, contained in the additive (1). The metal seeds formed by the activation are then metallized to create the electrically conductive structure on the substrate material. Because the additive (1) has a preferably full-surface coating before the additive is introduced into the substrate material, such that the additive (1) is reduced and the coating is oxidized by the laser activation, the reaction partners necessary for the required chemical reaction with the additive (1) are provided by the coating. Because of the thereby significantly reduced interaction with the substrate material, the limitation to certain plastics or plastic groups also is lifted.
