Patent number: 9522756Abstract: A fastening system and method to removably attach change part components to a capping or filling machine in order to adapt a general purpose machine for use with a specific size or shape container. The fastening system and method uses magnetic forces to pull component parts into alignment and to interlock portions of interchangeable components. In addition, a blocking component is interposed between two other interchangeable component parts or within mushroom slots, securing the components in place, aided by biasing magnets. This system and method relies on a combination of mechanical and magnetic forces by using mechanical forces to reinforce or supplement biasing magnetic forces, and vice versa, creating a durable connection that will withstand the rigors of the filling and capping process, yet which is simple to assemble and disassemble without tools. The less intricate component parts are less prone to damage during assembly, use or disassembly.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 2015Date of Patent: December 20, 2016Assignee: PNEUMARIC SCALE CORPORATIONInventors: Paul Celli, Jr., John Toth, Robin Thompson, Patrick Reeves

Patent number: 6498582Abstract: A passive MMIC monopulse comparator includes a plurality of lumped element hybrids having pi and T filter structures. In one embodiment, a first hybrid receives first and second downcoverted signals and provides a first output signal to a third hybrid and second output signal to a fourth hybrid. A second hybrid receives third and fourth downconverted signals and provides respective third and fourth output signals to the third and fourth hybrids. The third hybrid provides sum and elevation channel signals and the fourth hybrid provides azimuth and G channel signals.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2000Date of Patent: December 24, 2002Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventors: Anthony Sweeney, Mark A. Patent number: 6100841Abstract: A compact RF monopulse receiver circuit having a relatively low noise figure which is particularly useful for operation in the millimeter wave frequency range is described. The compact monopulse receiver finds use in small projectile and small missile applications. Also, a combination of transmit signal protection circuitry and receiver circuit architecture allows the RF monopulse receiver circuit to operate in a missile or other projectile which utilizes high RF power transmit signals. The RF monopulse receiver circuit can directly provide a radiation pattern for target detection and tracking or alternatively, the RF monopulse receiver circuit can function as a monopulse feed circuit which can be used, for example, in a quasi-optically fed reflector antenna.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 1998Date of Patent: August 8, 2000Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventors: John Toth, Michael J. Patent number: 4826050Abstract: In spraying liquid herbicides and insecticides, a predetermined dose is delivered in each operation of a dosing apparatus. The dosing apparatus comprises a piston-and-cylinder combination supported on a hangle. The piston is biased in one direction by a spring or by pressurized propellant, and movement of the piston in this one direction causes the liquid to flow into the cylinder through a check valve. Actuation of a trigger-operated valve releases pressurized propellant into the cylinder on the opposite side of the piston (or alternatively into an auxiliary cylinder) causing movement of the piston and discharge of the liquid through a second check valve and then through a spray nozzle. The dosing apparatus includes a portable backpack structure molded of a plastics material, and is especially suited for portable operation in remote locations. The backpack is formed with a reservoir for reagent and a compartment for removably holding a pressurized propellant container.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 1986Date of Patent: May 2, 1989Inventors: Allan P. Murphy, John Toth
