  • Patent number: 10891084
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an interconnect comprising an interface to couple to a master device, the interface comprising buffer storage. The interface is configured to receive a request from the master device for data comprising a plurality of data blocks, the master device requiring the data blocks in a defined order. A data collator is configured to: receive the request; issue a data pull request to cause the interface to allocate buffer space in the buffer storage for buffering the requested data; and responsive to receiving a confirmation that the buffer space is allocated, provide the requested data to the buffer storage. The interface is configured to employ the buffer storage to enable re-ordering of the plurality of data blocks of the requested data, prior to outputting the plurality of data blocks to the master device; and output the plurality of data blocks to the master device in the defined order.

  • Patent number: 10689697
Abstract: Analysis Of A Polymer A biochemical analysis system analyses polymers by taking measurements of a polymer from a sensor element comprising a nanopore during translocation of the polymer through the nanopore. When a polymer has partially translocated, the series of measurements is analysed using reference data derived from a reference sequence to provide a measure of similarity. Responsive to the measure of similarity, the sensor element may be selectively operated to eject the polymer and thereby make the nanopore available to receive a further polymer. Where the biochemical analysis system comprises an array of sensor elements and is takes measurements from sensor elements selected in a multiplexed manner, responsive to the measure of similarity, the biochemical analysis system ceases taking measurements from the currently selected sensor element and to starts taking measurements from a newly selected sensor element.

  • Publication number: 20200080416
Abstract: Methods for real-time coiled tubing fatigue monitoring can establish a remaining operational life of a coiled tubing strand. Standard or low-cycle plastic fatigue in bending is measured each time the coiled tubing strand is deployed through a guide arch. Also, smaller, but higher frequency loads, e.g., high cycle loads imparted to the coiled tubing strand due to interaction with an oceanic environment, are also measured. A plurality of weight detectors may be coupled to a support frame below the guide for monitoring the high-cycle loads. The remaining operational life of the coiled tubing strand may be calculated based on both the plastic strains using a low-cycle fatigue analysis and the elastic strains using a high-cycle fatigue analysis. An operator may retire a coiled tubing strand prior to failure based on the calculated remaining operational life.
