  • Publication number: 20140202241
Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of the liner top test tool comprises a mandrel that is coupled to a sealing assembly, which contains at least one radially extendable sealing element, and a test tool support which is axially displaceable in relation to the mandrel. The test tool support contains at least one shearable element preventing axial movement of the test tool support in relation to the mandrel. The mandrel has at least one axial groove that can be coupled to the test tool support in order to limit the amount of axial movement between the two components. Once the tool is in place on a liner top, the shearing of the shearable element will activate the tool by allowing the mandrel to be displaced axially in relation to the test tool support thereby applying axial pressure on the sealing element causing it to radially extend and seal the bore of the liner.

  • Patent number: 8485262
Abstract: A modular wellhead system having the capability for single or dual annulus via interchangeable heads, a unique capping system, and other features. A unique wellhead manual positive lock system incorporating an energizable inner bite ring for engaging the casing tubing, a compressible slip hanger for the tubing, as well as a hydraulic jack for lifting the tubing from the well to reintroduce tension are provided, the system being particularly suitable for use in conjunction with repair or low pressure plug and abandon (P&A) operations. Components of the system are designed for assembly via locking pins for diver friendly operation, While the present system is designed principally for use in subsea environments, the system can likewise be utilized on land or platforms.

  • Patent number: 6230996
Abstract: A pulverizer/grinder configured, its principle embodiment, to process drilling mud having cuttings utilizing a shaft on a horizontal axis having multiple rotors emanating therefrom. The rotors are surrounded by a cylindrical housing having inner walls situated near the tips of the rotors, each rotor further including first and second pulverizing members. The upper portion of housing includes input ports for the ingress of cuttings, drilling mud, and fluid, the lower portion of the housing including a cuttings screen having the desired aperture size for the egress of appropriately ground cuttings, particles, and fluid. Included with the system is a specially designed lug which emanates from the inner surface of the upper housing unit, the lug configured to securely communicate with the upper edge of the cuttings screen, securely holding same in place and preventing the buildup of debris thereabouts.

  • Patent number: 5414981
Abstract: A cane harvester including sugar cane lifting, gathering and severing structure operative to engage, lift and sever the tops and bottoms of cane oriented in a row along which the harvester is advanced with the cut cane subsequently being conveyed in an upright position and then discharged rearwardly and downwardly, in a rearwardly and upwardly inclined position, into a forwardly and upwardly opening cutter assembly operative to simultaneously sever the cane into billet lengths at points spaced predetermined distances therealong with leaf portions of the cane being simultaneously severed at the same points spaced along the cane to thereby provide cleanly cut cane billets having had a majority of the leaf portions severed therefrom and thus substantially ready for processing in the manufacture of cane sugar.

  • Patent number: 4618494
Abstract: Type 1 Diabetes and other virus-induced or autoimmunological diseases are treated with Human Immune Factors. These Human Immune Factors are extracted from blood cells by activating said blood cells with human lymphoblastoid interferon-alpha or staphage lysate or other activator or combination of activators. Human Immune Factors are purified and made suitable for pharmaceutical use by isolating compounds with molecular weights between about 1,000 and about 25,000 daltons.

  • Patent number: 4311686
Abstract: New and improved methodology for the diagnosis of a disease from blood sample analysis is disclosed and comprises: the preparation of a putative antigenic body substance extract, which is specific to disease-sensitized blood leukocytes, from the pooled, like body substances of a plurality of donors known to have the disease of interest; the mixture of said extract with the blood sample leukocytes; the promotion of the reaction therebetween to modify a characteristic of the disease-sensitized leukocytes, if any, of the blood sample; and the determination of the extent, if any, to which said characteristic has been modified. In multiple sclerosis diagnosis, said body substance may be blood or urine; while for malignant disease (for example breast cancer, or cancer of the head and neck) said body substance may be blood, urine, pleural fluid, ascites fluid, supernates of tumor cells or tumor cells grown in culture media.
