  • Publication number: 20250102284
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a sensor enabled geogrid for the monitoring and detection of subgrade deformation in infrastructure such as roadways, railways, working platforms, and marine applications. The system and methods contain a sensor enabled geogrid, inertial measurement units (IMUs), one or more sensors, a data collection apparatus such as a sensor pod, an information transmission apparatus such as a gateway device, a communications network, and a computing device capable of performing analytics on information from the IMU's and other sensors. The disclosure further includes methods of processing information received from a sensor enabled geogrid by a sensor pod. In the example, the sensor pod transmits received information to a gateway device for transmitting to a backend computing system. The backend computing system then performs an analysis on the information to determine variance from an initial sensor position, and alerts of possible infrastructure failure.

  • Publication number: 20250100392
Abstract: A system and a method for connecting a vehicle to an external source includes determining that a vehicle to be propelled by a drive system having one or more motors is to connect to an off-board power source while the one or more motors are powered by an onboard power source. The onboard power source is controlled to provide a determined amount of first electric energy to a first converter system. A second converter system is controlled to output an amount of second electric energy from the off-board power source within a designated threshold range. The second converter system is disposed between the off-board power source and the first converter system. The drive system receives power from the off-board power source responsive to the second converter system outputting the second amount of electric energy within the designated threshold range.

  • Patent number: 12261888
Abstract: A system and method for authorization policy validation. A validator takes as input an authorization policy to be analyzed and a schema that specifies entity types and their attributes, types of entity parents in an entity hierarchy, and which entity types can be used with which actions. The validator checks that the policy conforms to the schema. If the check passes, then the policy is guaranteed to be free of both type errors and attribute access errors for any input that conforms to the schema.

  • Patent number: 12215904
Abstract: A system and method are provided including a system controller for a refrigeration or HVAC system having a compressor rack with a compressor and a condensing unit with a condenser fan. The system controller monitors and controls operation of the refrigeration or HVAC system. A rack controller monitors and controls operation of the compressor rack and determines compressor rack power consumption data. A condensing unit controller monitors and controls operation of the condensing unit and determines condensing unit power consumption data. The system controller receives the compressor rack power consumption data and the condensing unit power consumption data, determines a total power consumption of the refrigeration or HVAC system, determines a predicted power consumption or a benchmark power consumption for the refrigeration system, compares the total power consumption with the predicted power consumption or the benchmark power consumption, and generates an alert based on the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20240344289
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a sensor enabled carrier for monitoring and detecting subgrade deformation in working platforms. Working platforms are temporary structures that provide support and stability for heavy machinery (e.g. cranes, piling rigs). They are sometimes referred to as temporary working platforms as they are designed for a specific purpose and a limited lifetime. In one aspect, a sensor enabled carrier is placed within the substructure of a working platform. The sensors are configured to a sensor pod that receives the various inputs, and further transmit the signals to a gateway device. The gateway device may be configured to one or more sensor pods located at the working platform, and serves to transmit the signals to a backend system wherein computing systems interpret the received signals. The backend system may further serve as a distribution point for corrective measures or early warning system in the event subgrade deformation is detected.
