  • Patent number: 10751982
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to remove gas and vapor from a panel for a decorative layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a first press plate of a hot press to engage a first surface of a panel. The hot press is to apply heat to the panel via the first press plate to cure resin of the panel. A first portion of the first press plate is composed of a permeable material to remove at least one of gas or vapor from the panel to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on a decorative layer to be coupled to the panel to deter separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the panel.

  • Patent number: 10661530
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to couple a decorative layer to a panel via a high-bond adhesive layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a panel, a high-bond adhesive layer fixed to the panel, a liner fixed to the high-bond adhesive layer that is fixed to the panel, and a first decorative layer removably coupled to the liner that is fixed to the high-bond adhesive layer via a second adhesive layer. The high-bond adhesive layer is to impede at least one of gas or vapor from escaping the panel to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on the first decorative layer to deter a portion of the first decorative layer from separating from the panel.

  • Patent number: 10525685
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to couple a decorative composite having a reinforcing layer to a panel are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a decorative layer and a first reinforcing layer coupled to the decorative layer. The example apparatus includes a coil reduction layer that is to apply a force to the first reinforcing layer to reduce coiling of the first reinforcing layer. The example apparatus includes an adhesive layer applied to the coil reduction layer that is coupled to the first reinforcing layer to enable the decorative layer to be coupled to a panel. A rigidity of the first reinforcing layer is to enable the first reinforcing layer to distribute a force exerted by at least one of gas or vapor disposed between the first reinforcing layer and the decorative layer to impede separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the panel.

  • Publication number: 20190130290
Abstract: The present invention involves a method, a system, and software for semantic analysis of disparate data in an environment having a plurality of datasets having distinct information fields. A candidate generation module involves creating graphs with information fields from the plurality of datasets as nodes, then creating smaller graphs containing source and sink vertices based on heuristic values. An electrical network computation module involves representing graphs as an electrical circuit to calculate the voltage of each node and the current of each edge by solving a system of linear equations. A diverse subgraph generation module involves selecting paths that carry the larger amount of current and have more new nodes in an iterative process. With each iteration, the path that scores the highest marginal current per number of existing types of nodes is selected and added to the diverse subgraph.

  • Patent number: 10173394
Abstract: Methods and apparatus to vent gas and vapor from a panel via venting channels for a decorative layer are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a decorative layer, an adhesive layer to couple the decorative layer to a panel, and a resin layer disposed between the decorative layer and the adhesive layer. The adhesive layer is coupled to a first side of the resin layer. The decorative layer is coupled to a second side of the resin layer. The first side of the resin layer defines venting channels to vent at least one of gas or vapor away from the decorative layer to deter the at least one of gas or vapor from exerting a pressure on the decorative layer to deter separation of a portion of the decorative layer from the resin layer. The venting channels have a depth to impede the adhesive layer from filling the venting channels.
