  • Patent number: 7988212
Abstract: A bracket for attaching and aligning a forward-looking radar (FLR) having a front face is disclosed according to one embodiment. The bracket includes a bracket frame having an attachment feature for attaching the FLR to the bracket frame. The bracket also includes a first mounting feature extending from the bracket frame for coupling the bracket face and the first mounting surface of the conveyance to define a first mounting surface angle. The bracket also includes a bracket member extending from the bracket frame. The bracket member includes an end portion disposed proximate to the bracket face and a distal end portion, which includes a second mounting feature for coupling the bracket member and the second mounting surface thereby defining a second mounting surface angle and aligning the FLR front face to an alignment angle.

  • Publication number: 20050052516
Abstract: A laminate panel especially well suited to help form an overhead stowage bin door on an aircraft, wherein the door includes a portion of a high contrast color advertising mural or message integrally formed therewith. The door includes a honeycomb support layer on which at least one fiberglass pre-preg layer is formed. A polyvinyl fluoride (PVF) film is used as a substrate for the color mural or message. A ultraviolet (UV) curable ink is deposited directly on the PVF film via an ink jet printing process that produces a high color density, high color contrast image. The PVF film in one form is a Tedlar® PVF film. The ink is cured virtually immediately after it is deposited on the PVF film. An additional layer of PVF film is then secured to a side of the printed-on PVF film opposite to that on which the ink is deposited via a layer of embossing resin to form the laminate panel.

  • Publication number: 20050034494
Abstract: A lock assembly and locking systems adapted for use with hinged bidirectional hardened plastic doors is provided. The lock assembly comprises a moveable bolt arranged within a housing and a having a first perimeter; a strikeplate spaced apart from the housing and having a hole with a second perimeter; and an actuator adapted to move the bolt from an unlocked position where the bolt is within the housing to a locked position where a portion of the bolt extends into the hole, wherein the second perimeter is 2-10 times greater than the first perimeter such that the hinged double-acting impact-traffic door has an amount of play when the bolt is in the locked position.

  • Patent number: 5575104
Abstract: A fishing line accessory comprises at least two partial housing parts which are adapted to be mated together to form a hollow housing. The housing receives a rattle member and means is provided by which the accessory can be received on a fishing line. More particularly a member is moulded from plastics with two partial housings connected by a web. One partial housing carries projection means and the other carries complimentary housing means. There is relieving in the connecting web. In one embodiment, the relieving corresponds with a line of weakness permitting hinging together of the two partial housings to form a single hollow housing. The relieving forms a recess to accommodate the fishing line. In another embodiment two of said members are engaged together to form two hollow housings and the relieving in the respective webs form a recess to receive the line.
