  • Patent number: 11138195
Abstract: A method for obtaining query response data by a relational database management system (RDBMS) is provided. The method receives a user input query, by a processor associated with the RDBMS, wherein the user input query comprises a query request for a set of data; formats the user input query into a second query language suitable for communication between the RDBMS and a query response interface associated with a second data storage external to the RDBMS, by the processor, to generate a reformatted user input query, wherein the RDBMS is configured to perform query operations using an n-ary tree format, and wherein the query response interface is configured to perform query operations using a binary tree format consisting of two child nodes per non-terminal node of a binary tree; and transmits the reformatted user input query to the query response interface, via a communication device communicatively coupled to the processor.

  • Patent number: 11122023
Abstract: A computing environment is disclosed that receives from devices requests directed toward services accessible in the environment, and that forwards communications from services in the environment to devices registered with the environment. During a registration process at the environment, devices are assigned a device identifier that is used to identify and authenticate each particular device and requests communicated from and to the device via the environment. The computing environment maintains state information for each device that has been registered with the system. As the device interacts with the system, the state information is updated to reflect the changes in the device. When requests to perform functions are received from devices, the computing environment determines for the particular device and the particular function requested what processing needs to be performed by the environment in response to the request.

  • Publication number: 20200372547
Abstract: An offer is sent, via a network, to an entity system. For example, the entity system may be a computer system of a corporation. The offer is to provide advertising while one or more voice or video communication sessions are placed on hold in a contact center queue. An acceptance of the offer is received, via the network, from the entity system. The acceptance of the offer causes a blockchain orchestrator to create a block that is stored in a blockchain. A voice or video communication session is established at the contact center with a customer. The voice or video communication session is routed to a contact center queue. In response to routing the voice or video communication session to the contact center queue and based on the acceptance of the offer, the advertising is inserted into a media stream of the voice or video communication session.

  • Publication number: 20200351399
Abstract: An acceptance of an end user license is received from a user communication endpoint. The acceptance of the end user license causes a smart contract to associate a number of digital tokens (i.e., digital currency) with a user of the user communication endpoint. For example, the user may electronically agree to abide by terms associated with transactions within a contact center. A communication session is established between the user communication endpoint and the contact center. Input is received that indicates that the user wants to have a transaction with the contact center. For example, the transaction may be that the user wants to be moved to the top of a contact center queue. The transaction causes a change to the number of digital tokens associated with the user. The change in digital tokens is then stored in a blockchain associated with the contact center.

  • Publication number: 20200339446
Abstract: A foam electrode comprising surface treatment by the steps of: 1) impregnating soft compressible polymeric foams with a conductive coating via sequential infiltration synthesis and 2) functionalizing the chemically altered voids with an ultrathin redox coating to enhance capacitive deionization (CDI). The redox coating will allow treated foam to absorb ions under the application of a bias, and mechanical compression/decompression. The CDI apparatus uses the void volume of the foam in the uncompressed state to flow liquids through it while the compressed state is used to enhance desalination by limiting the diffusion pathways for the ions to find an adsorption surface.

  • Publication number: 20200295947
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a communication system and method to leverage distributed ledger technology as the basis upon which a trustless method can be deployed to validate file provenance and authenticity, while also supporting a strong form of non-repudiation. In one example, the method includes transferring electronic content from a sending communication device to the receiving communication device via Rich Communication Services. The method includes generating, at the sending communication device, file transfer parameters, identity signature and timestamp that are associated with the transfer of electronic content from the sending communication device. The method then includes causing the identity signature and timestamp to be written as part of a content transfer ledger.
