  • Publication number: 20180185502
Abstract: Disclosed are nanostructures such as carboxysomes that encapsulate RubisCO and carbonic anhydrase to provide a protected environment to maximize CO2 assimilation. Conditions are disclosed were RubisCO can be sequestered into a variety of self-assembling nanotubes. The encapsulated protein was enzymatically active and was clearly associated with the nanotubes and removed from solution based on a number of criteria. These nanostructures were also found to enhance the stability of RubisCO toward proteases and other environmental factors. These structures can be used in scalable CO2 conversions and other processes.

  • Patent number: 10015795
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to, in general, mobile device translation into a secure channel identifier for resource management. Typically, a system configured to establish a network activity channel with a networked device is provided. In some embodiments, based on analyzing a trigger signal, the system is configured to identify a network activity initiated by the user. In some embodiments, the system identifies a network activity channel configured for performing the network activity initiated by the user, based on at least determining a channel latency of the network activity channel. The system may then present the network activity channel to the user, configure the network activity channel such that the mobile device associated with the user is a secure channel identifier for performing the network activity; and modify, dynamically, a channel interface associated with the network activity channel based on the identified network activity and the trigger signal.

  • Patent number: 9973892
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for a multi-provider management system for location-based service zones. The multi-provider management system can receive data associated with location-based service zones from multiple providers. A unique identifier can be assigned to each provider. The multi-provider management system can send location-based service zones from multiple providers to a client device, and can receive trigger event notifications associated with the location-based service zones. The unique identifier can be used to identify which provider to notify when receiving a trigger event notification.

  • Patent number: 9923978
Abstract: A network switch includes a service registration database and a service discovery engine that is coupled to the service registration database. The service discovery engine receives a first service registration over a network from a first service included on a first service device and, in response, stores the first service registration in the service registration database. The service discovery engine then receives a multicast service discovery message over the network from a target device. The service discovery message includes a service identification. The service discovery engine then determines that the service identification is associated with the first service registration stored in the service registration database and, in response, sends a unicast service communication message over the network to the target device. The service communication message includes communication information for the first service.

  • Publication number: 20180041604
Abstract: A RESTful API suitable for distributed management tasks implements an aggregator that receives a client request including a URI corresponding to a requested service. The aggregator generates and forwards a proxy request, requesting the same requested service from multiple aggregated resources associated with the aggregator. The aggregator includes, in each proxy request, prefix information that may be used by the aggregated resource to create encoded information that is included in a proxy request response. The aggregator receives the proxy request responses, including the encoded information, and forwards them to the client. The client may then generate a subsequent request for additional information about a resource or service on any one of the aggregated resources. The subsequent request conveys the encoded information to the aggregator, which may then decode the information to identify the appropriate aggregated resource for the request.

  • Publication number: 20180032378
Abstract: A computing system includes one or more processors and a storage device that stores computer executable instructions that can be executed by the processors to cause the computing system to perform the following. The system generates a work tracking information ticket for a first system entity. The system assigns the work tracking information ticket to the first system entity. The system passes the work tracking information ticket to one or more second system entities. The system validates the work tracking information ticket. The validated work tracking information ticket informs that the one or more second system entities are performing work on behalf of the first system entity.

  • Patent number: 9870713
Abstract: Detection and prevention of unauthorized exchange of information between users of user devices is disclosed. Monitoring data associated with respective information received by the user devices from respective users may be received. Position information indicating proximity or relative positions of the devices may also be received. The monitoring data and/or the position information may be analyzed to determining whether unauthorized information exchange between users may be occurring. One or more metrics indicating a likelihood that unauthorized information exchange is occurring may be generated based on the analysis of the monitoring data and/or the position information. A generated metric may be compared to an associated threshold and preventive measures for deterring unauthorized information exchange may be identified based on a result of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20170359440
Abstract: A resource management system that includes at least one managed computing system including a plurality of hierarchal computer resources and a server computing system that is coupled to the at least one managed computing system through a network. The server computing system includes a broker in communication with a plurality of providers. The broker is configured to receive a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) request for a first resource of the plurality of hierarchal computer resources included in the at least one managed computing system. The URI request includes a resource path that identifies the first resource by a hierarchy of a plurality of collections. The broker is configured to determine a last collection in the hierarchy of the plurality of collections that matches a first provider of the plurality of providers, and forward the request directly to the first provider such that the first provider processes the URI request.

  • Patent number: 9575960
Abstract: One or more words at a specified location in an electronic document can be identified. The identified one or more words can be analyzed to determine one or more semantic meanings associated with the words. An audio clip (i.e., audio file, audio element) associated with or corresponding to (the semantic meaning(s) of) the one or more words can be searched for in an audio database. The search for the audio clip associated with the one or more words can utilize an index that specifies the associations between words and audio clips. In some embodiments, the audio clip can be played when an estimated location of where the user is reading is at or near the specified location of the one or more words. In some embodiments, the audio clip can be played when it is calculated that the user is reading the one or more words at the specified location.

  • Patent number: 9514076
Abstract: An information handling system is set forth which includes a fully connected 4S topology that can also be populated with two processors and two link modules (e.g., two passive “slugs”) to implement a fully connected 2S topology. More specifically, the link module is a printed circuit board that implements a loopback connection between certain links of the architecture. In certain embodiment, the link module includes no electrical components. The link module merely includes a set of electrical connections (e.g., copper traces) connecting pads (e.g., gold plated pads) on a thick printed circuit board (PCB) dielectric material that is shaped to fit the processor socket. The link module is used to carry user data when the information handling system is configured in a 2S topology. The link module includes proper lane assignment that allows the module to be passive without performance reduction.
