  • Patent number: 10621790
Abstract: A system and method for voltage-guided anatomical shell editing includes outputting, to a display device, an anatomical shell of a cardiac structure. The anatomical shell is based on signals sensed by a mapping probe, each signal including a respective sensed voltage. User input specifying a first target depth for editing is received, as is a selection of a first region of the anatomical shell. A modified anatomical shell is generated by removing a first portion of the anatomical shell including the selected first region to a first editing depth based on the first target depth and generating a new surface region on the modified anatomical shell. Based on the voltage associated with the new surface region, the edit can be maintained, undone, and/or modified.

  • Patent number: 10588700
Abstract: A method uses an electromagnetic tracking system, including a number of field transmitters and at least one receiver, to determine location information associated with a medical device. The method includes transmitting a set of electromagnetic signals, each signal having a frequency that is different than a frequency associated with each of the other signals, where each signal corresponds to a sum of sinusoidal functions, each of which includes an amplitude and a frequency. A field signal is received, and includes an undistorted field component and a distortion component. The amplitudes and frequencies of the sinusoidal functions are selected such that the distortion component includes a residual error arising from terms of at least a specified order in frequency. Field components corresponding to the field transmitters are extracted from the received signal, and the location information is determined based on the field components.

  • Patent number: 10543904
Abstract: A roll control system controls roll control surfaces of an aircraft that are capable of causing the aircraft to perform a roll maneuver by respectively deflecting in upward and downward directions. The roll control system includes deflection limiter units for respectively limiting angles of deflection of the roll control surfaces, and further includes deflection rate limiter units for respectively limiting rates of deflection of the roll control surfaces. The deflection limiter unit limits the roll control surfaces to deflection distances and deflection rates based at least in part on the deflection direction of the roll control surfaces. For a given set of flight conditions, such as airspeed, if a roll control surface is deflecting upwardly, it is less limited by the roll control system in terms of deflection distance and deflection rate than if the roll control surface is deflecting downwardly.

  • Publication number: 20190359946
Abstract: The field of the invention is cellular and molecular biology and stem cells. Specifically, the disclosure is directed to a formulation for harvesting and passaging single cell human pluripotent stem cells comprising: (i) 1 mM to about 30 mM sodium citrate; (ii) a salt comprising 10 mM to 170 mM KCl or NaCl; and (iii) Ca2+/Mg2+-free Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (DPBS), wherein said formulation has an osmolarity of about 100 mOsmol/liter to about 350 mOsmol/liter. The formulation can be used for serial passaging and dislodging of pluripotent stem cells attached to 2D tissue culture vessels or grown in 3D suspension culture (small scale and large scale bioreactors) or any other application where passaging in the form of single cell population of stem cells is needed.

  • Patent number: 10487312
Abstract: Formulations and methods are disclosed for the harvesting and subsequent passaging of human pluripotent stem cells without the use of enzymes and/or scraping to dislodge cells from cell culture vessels. The formulations and methods permit the harvesting of cells as large clusters from the surface of various cell culture vessels including multilayer cell culture vessels. Further, the formulations and methods provide high yields of harvested cells for subsequent passaging and high post-harvest cell viability. Pluripotent stem cells passaged with the formulations according to the methods remain undifferentiated and express typical stem cell markers, while, at the same time, they retain the differentiation capability and are able to differentiate into the cells in all three germ layers and generate teratomas, even after numerous rounds of harvesting and passaging. These hPSCs also maintain normal karyotype after passaged with the formulations for extended period of time.
