  • Publication number: 20190286928
Abstract: A location system includes two entities that are attempting to co-locate one another. The entities detect and transmit locating information, such as image/video data identifying information, image/video data of the environment, audio data of the environment, or detected signals, to either the other entity or a micro-location server. Analysis is performed on the signals to determine whether the entities are in the same or a similar proximity. Example analysis includes facial recognition of a user (a first entity) in video data captured by a vehicle (a second entity). If the data satisfies a location matching condition (the entities are in a close proximity), then a location refining signal is generated and transmitted to one or both of the entities.

  • Publication number: 20190283896
Abstract: A fuel tank inerting system uses a catalytic oxidation unit to combust fuel from the fuel tank to produce inert gas, simultaneously working with a gas separator that removes dissolved carbon dioxide from the fuel before it is cycled to the thermal management system (TMS) or the engine. This prevents cavitation of carbon dioxide (gaseous bubbling) within the fuel at varying temperatures while in flight.

  • Publication number: 20190286508
Abstract: Generating targeted analysis results in a support system is disclosed. Computing device information about a supported computing device in which a problem was encountered is received. Identification of a designated subset of tags of a plurality of tags is received. A plurality of analyzers is initiated to analyze the computing device information. The plurality of analyzers is configured to generate a plurality of results based on the computing device information. Tags of the plurality of tags are associated with the plurality of results. A subset of results are generated by discarding each result from the plurality of results that have no associated tags that match a tag in the designated subset of tags. The subset of results is output.

  • Publication number: 20190288636
Abstract: Tailoring the emission spectra of a solar thermophotovoltaic emitter away from that of a blackbody, thereby minimizing transmission and thermalization loss in the energy receiver, is a viable approach to circumventing the Shockley-Queisser limit to single junction solar energy conversion. Embodiments allow for radically tuned selective thermal emission that leverages the interplay between two resonant phenomena in a simple planar structure—absorption in weakly-absorbing thin films and reflection in multi-layer dielectric stacks.

  • Publication number: 20190283890
Abstract: A primary structure of a strut for bearing an aircraft power plant including a front part intended to be joined to an aircraft power plant and a rear part intended to be joined to a structure of the aircraft, the front part being formed from a box including an upper longitudinal member, a lower longitudinal member, and lateral panels. A main rib is located at an interface between the front part and the rear part. The rear part is formed from a set of four connecting rods. The first end of each connecting rod is joined to the front part of the primary structure and the second end of each connecting rod is joined to a separate interface for fastening to the structure of the aircraft. This allows a substantial simplification of the primary structure of a strut for bearing an aircraft power plant, which can have advantages in particular in terms of cost, mass, and simplicity of implementation and integration.

  • Publication number: 20190283027
Abstract: A system and method are provided for harvesting target biological substances. The system includes a substrate and a first and second channel formed in the substrate. The channels longitudinally extending substantially parallel to each other. A series of gaps extend from the first channel to the second channel to create a fluid communication path passing between a series of columns with the columns being longitudinally separated by a predetermined separation distance. The system also includes a first source configured to selectively introduce into the first channel a first biological composition at a first channel flow rate and a second source configured to selectively introduce into the second channel a second biological composition at a second channel flow rate.
