  • Publication number: 20140276838
Abstract: An orthopaedic surgical instrument assembly includes a system handle configured to clamp a broach and femoral stem trial assembly. The system handle includes a clamp lever and a release lever both pivotally coupled to the system handle, and a leaf spring connecting the clamp lever and the release lever. When the release lever is moved from an unclamped position to a clamped position, the leaf spring is put in tension, and the clamp lever engages a flange of the broach, securing the broach to the system handle. Methods of assembling the system handle are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20140276850
Abstract: An orthopaedic surgical instrument assembly includes an instrument handle configured to clamp a broach and femoral stem trial assembly. A depth stop is configured to removably couple to the instrument handle. When the broach and femoral stem trial are advanced into a medullary canal of a patient's femur, a substantially planar proximal surface of the depth stop is configured to engage the distal surface of the femur, determining the depth of the broach in the medullary canal. The proximal surface of the depth stop is parallel to the joint line, defining an oblique angle to the anatomical axis of the femur. The depth stop may be attached to the instrument handle at a number of positions to control the depth of the broach. The assembly may include a spacer plate removably coupled to the depth stop that distalizes the broach in the medullary canal.

  • Publication number: 20130346190
Abstract: The present application is related to systems and methods for enabling information providers to influence a position for a search listing within a search result list generated by an Internet search engine. The systems and methods may provide accounts for the network information providers. Each account may contain a search listing having at least three components: a description, a search term comprising one or more keywords, and a bid amount. The network information provider may add, delete, or modify a search listing to influence the position for a search listing within a corresponding search result list. The systems and methods may send a notification to an external destination upon occurrence of a predetermined event, such as the change of position in the search listing.

  • Publication number: 20130325019
Abstract: A method of surgically preparing a proximal end of a tibia includes inserting an intramedullary orthopaedic surgical instrument into a medullary canal of the tibia, securing an attachment device to the intramedullary orthopaedic surgical instrument, attaching a cutting block to the attachment device, resecting the proximal end of the tibia using the cutting block to form a surgically-prepared surface, positioning a tibial base trial on the surgically-prepared surface, and inserting a keel punch through a slot defined in the tibial base trial and into the surgically-prepared surface of the tibia.

  • Patent number: 8527533
Abstract: A system and method for enabling information providers using a computer network such as the Internet to influence a position for a search listing within a search result list generated by an Internet search engine. The system and method of the present invention provides a database having accounts for the network information providers. Each account contains at least one search listing having at least three components: a description, a search term comprising one or more keywords, and a bid amount. The network information provider may add, delete, or modify a search listing after logging into his or her account via an authentication process. The network information provider influences the position for a search listing through a continuous online competitive bidding process. The bidding process occurs when the network information provider enters a new bid amount, which is preferably a money amount, for a search listing.

  • Publication number: 20110071915
Abstract: A system and method for allowing a user to keep and maintain compatible application on a single application on a portable electronic device that allows the user to organize, maintain, categorize, merge and personalize the downloaded compatible content application on a single platform. The current invention allows the user to search for and download compatible content from a content provider, whereby merged content or application becomes part of user's customized application, giving content providers a one-on-one interaction with the user, and in return, the content provider pays the inventive platform operator a fee when a user views, accesses, merges, downloads, or engages in commercial activity, wherein the search result from the inventive platform is user-influenced in that the more a compatible application of a content provider is viewed, merged or commercial activity performed, the higher its rank.

  • Patent number: 7363300
Abstract: A system and method for enabling information providers using a computer network to influence a position for a search listing within a search result list. A database stores accounts for the network information providers. Each account contains contact and billing information. In addition, each account contains at least one search listing having at least three components: a description, a search term comprising one or more keywords, and a bid amount. The network information provider may add, delete, or modify a search listing after logging into his or her account via an authentication process. The network information provider influences a position for a search listing in the provider's account by first selecting a relevant search term and entering that search term and the description into a search listing. A continuous online competitive bidding process occurs when the network information provider enters a new bid amount for a search listing.
