Abstract: Methods and systems for performing sex determination based on analysis of histological images are described. The methods may comprise, for example, receiving a histological image of a thin section tissue sample from a subject; processing the histological image to generate a plurality of image patches; providing the plurality of image patches as input to a trained machine learning model, wherein the trained machine learning model is configured to (1) classify an image patch of the plurality of image patches as belonging to at least one of one or more feature categories and, based on a distribution of feature categories identified in the plurality of image patches, (2) output a sex determination for the subject; and outputting the determined sex of the subject.

Abstract: Methods for identifying sex bias in an association between an omics variant and a disease state are described. The methods may comprise, for example, receiving omics data and clinical data for a plurality of subjects; processing the omics data and clinical data for the plurality of subjects using a model, wherein the model is configured to identify a sex bias in an association between an omics variant identified in the omics data and a disease state identified in the clinical data and output a prediction of whether the omics variant is likely to be a pathogenic variant associated with the disease state based on subject sex; and outputting a prediction of whether the omics variant is likely to be a pathogenic variant associated with the disease state for a subject of known sex.

Abstract: A building system is disclosed comprising a beam and column connection particularly suited for mass timber buildings. A first connection arrangement comprises a projection and slot arrangement with the beam being supported on an upwardly facing bearing surface. A second connection arrangement may be provided to tie the column to the beam. The system also discloses arrangements to accommodate greater tolerance at the connection and to provide an ability to accommodate limited rotation under dynamic loading.

Abstract: A coupling system is described comprising an anchor that may releasably connect to a coupled member. Associated tools configured to cooperate with the coupling system and methods of use of the coupling system and release or re-engagement of the coupling system are also described. In one embodiment, the coupling system may further comprise an enclosing member and release member and a related tool or tools to actuate release of the connection and re-engage of the connection as desired.

An inline grey text suggestion driven by provisional selection may be displayed simultaneously with completion list suggestions that were created without regard to provisional selection. Suggestions driven by provisional selection may be interleaved with existing document text. Suggestions may be accepted fully in one gesture, or in parts. Suggestions may be edited by a user before being accepted, driving further suggestion refinement.

The static code analyzer includes a find portion that indicates a matching condition for identifying a portion of source code text, and a fix portion that indicates a textual replacement to apply to the portion of source code text matched by the find portion. Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include a valve sleeve for forming at least a portion of a valve flow passage. The valve sleeve includes a seat end having a seat face, the seat end extending at least partially into a chamber of a valve body. The valve sleeve also includes a sleeve portion coupled to the seat end and having a coupling end opposite the seat face, the coupling end comprising a retaining mechanism for removably coupling the valve sleeve to the valve body. Abstract: A three to six sided lip balm applicator of the present invention comprises a cap, a liner, and a base, having engagement assemblies for engaging the cap to the liner the liner to the base, and a base from one lip balm applicator to an equivalent base from another lip balm applicator to form a lip balm container. The base comprises a partition with stabilizers which emerge from the partition and extend radially toward and overhang an aperture in the partition. The lip balm applicator may contain a domed lip balm, filled directly into the lip balm applicator or components thereof as a mold for manufacturing the domed lip balm, filled to a fill level approaching the partition top but not touching the partition top.
