  • Patent number: 9241143
Abstract: Dedicated projectors and devices with projection abilities such as digital cameras or camcorders have projections that are corrected to compensate for irregularities in the surfaces receiving the projection. The image data being projected is compensated to account for the irregularities by observing the irregularities with a camera to produce image data and creating the compensation based on that image data. Irregularities of the projection receiving location including angular relationships to the projector causing keystoning, noisy surfaces with reflectivity or absorption, color patterns, non-planar regions, intervening objects, and the like may be accounted for during the compensation. The projection of the image itself may be utilized to capture the result of projecting onto the irregularities. Projection of target grids, such as using infrared, may be used to capture the result of projecting onto the irregularities. The captured image may be processed to produce a compensated image to be projected.

  • Publication number: 20150287227
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and apparatus for visualizing data. In particular, the present disclosure creates infographics for any complex shape. Thus, a user can provide a logo, symbol, photograph, drawing, etc. and this disclosure provides a way to turn the provided image into an infographic—or chart, where a shape or outline of the image is filled proportionally to data. Importantly, the fill level can vary with changing data and is thus not limited to data points known at a time when the infographic is created. Further, while simple shapes such as circles, donuts, and rectangles are fillable with dynamic data using existing scripts, there are so many additional and more complex shapes in existence that scripts cannot be written to account for all of these shapes. The present disclosure enables dynamic filling of shapes that cannot be filled using existing scripts.

  • Publication number: 20140359729
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed to apply permissions to applications. A disclosed example apparatus includes an address trust manager to obtain a first network address having a request for address authentication from a first entity, the first network address having a second network address associated with a second entity to execute the application, an address associator to compare the first network address to a trusted address database to determine whether the first network address is trusted, and a shadow environment communicator to generate a signed message based on the comparison of the trusted address database, the address trust manager to transmit the signed message to the second entity with an indication of authorization via the first network address in response to a match in the trusted address database, and transmit the signed message to the second entity with an indication of non-authorization via the first network address in response to a lack of a match in the trusted address database.

  • Patent number: 8904184
Abstract: Media signals such as audio and/or video signals are certified as being authentic. A private key and a corresponding public key are provided. For a current media segment of the media signal, a signature is created using the private key to sign data based on media content of the current media segment combined with a signature from a media segment present at another point within the media signal where the signature from the media segment present at another point within the media signal is created by signing with the private key data based on media content of the media segment present at the other point within the media signal. The signature is included in metadata of the current media segment of the media signal and the public key is included in a second metadata of the media signal.

  • Patent number: 8880917
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are disclosed for producing and delivering packetized power within a DC computing environment. Within the DC computing environment a power requirement or request is communicated to a power router. The power router then determines a power source capable of fulfilling the power requirement and then causes the power to be delivered in packetized form. The packetized power is appended to a message header which allows the power packet to be received by the requesting device.
