The insulating member is combined with the end portion of the lamp so as to surround the electrode and to prevent a heat generated from the electrode from being conducted toward the lamp tube.     Abstract: In a radiant pad, a backlight assembly and a display device, the backlight assembly has a light source, a receiving container and a heat absorbing member. The receiving container receives the light source and the heat absorbing member to absorb radiant heat emitted by the light source. The backlight assembly further includes a discharge member disposed at an exterior surface of the receiving container to discharge heat from the light source transmitted through the receiving container. Accordingly, a temperature of the backlight assembly is lowered and a temperature difference between left and right areas of the backlight assembly is also reduced, thereby improving brightness properties.

    Abstract: A flat panel display device including a protecting sheet for protecting an upper surface is disclosed. The flat panel display device includes an image display part for displaying an image and a protecting part for protecting an outer surface thereof. The image display part displays the image by varying a voltage applied to electrodes oppositely formed on inner surfaces of a pair of transparent facing substrate respectively to thereby turn on or off each pixel. The protecting part is disposed on an outer surface of the substrate perceived by user's eye from an external shock or foreign mailers. Accordingly, the flat panel display device strongly resist the external shock, and the foreign matters are easily remove from the flat panel display device. The anti-glare treatment is carried out on the protecting sheet to thereby prevent dazzling of users due to the reflection of the light.

    Abstract: Disclosed is an LCD device including a noise shielding member. The noise shielding member is a transparent conductive member including a transparent film on which a transparent conductive layer is coated. The noise shielding member may also be a transparent conductive layer scattered on the optical sheets. The transparent conductive layer comprises ITO or IZO. The noise shielding member is disposed under the diffusing plate or interposed between optical sheets. The noise shielding member may be disposed under the LCD panel. The noise generated from the electric power signal applied to the lamp of the backlight assembly is shielded from the LCD panel. Furthermore, the noise shielding member and optical sheets contacts with the chassis of the LCD device through various ground members so as to be connected to earth potential and be electrically stabilized. Accordingly, display quality of the LCD device is improved.
