Abstract: A method and apparatus provide geriatric care management service. The apparatus comprises a plurality of sensors, which generate sensor signals for informing daily behavior or health of an aged person, a signal processor, which analyzes the sensor signals to generate daily behavior information, an emergency situation manager, which informs a care giver that an emergency situation occurs and generates emergency situation occurrence information, an abnormal symptom manager, which analyzes the daily behavior information to informs the care giver whether or not the abnormal symptom occurs and generates abnormal symptom occurrence information, and a care information manager, which summarizes the daily behavior information, the emergency situation occurrence information, and the abnormal symptom occurrence information and generates care information.

Abstract: There is provided a daily activity recognition system using sensors installed in required positions in a home to recognize daily activities of an old person, the system including: a radio frequency (RF) management unit receiving data measured by a plurality of sensors installed in required positions in a home, recognizing a corresponding sensor transmitting the received data, and converting the received data into a basic activity corresponding to the recognized sensor; a buffer management unit storing the basic activity received from the wireless processing manager in an internal buffer; and a daily activity recognition unit recognizing daily activities of an old person at each point in time previously set, based on the basic activity stored in the buffer. The daily activities of the old person are recognized and stored in a database, thereby providing various services related to the health of the old person.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for normalizing a protein name using ontology mapping. A method for normalizing a protein name using ontology mapping, which includes the steps of: a) extracting a protein name from an input of a biological article; b) analyzing a protein code corresponding to the protein name by calculating similarities between the protein name and synonyms of a synonym dictionary created through an ontology; c) classifying protein species information included in the biological article using a predetermined species classification learning model; and d) assigning an ontology identification (ID) created by combining the analyzed protein code and the classified protein species information to the protein name.
