A risk of overheating of an electric motor is predicted using the calculated driving load. The vehicle is driven in a first mode using drive power of an engine in a section in which the predicted risk of overheating is greater than a second value and in a second mode using drive power of the electric motor in a section in which the predicted risk of overheating is equal to or less than a preset value.

When intra prediction mode information of chrominance blocks are decoded, mutually different tables are used depending on whether or not an LM is used, so that encoding and decoding can be performed without an unnecessary waste of bits.

The candidate gear shift stage is determined as a transition gear shift stage and the candidate value of the APS is determined as a transition value of the APS when the speed margin is equal to or greater than the threshold. The vehicle is operated based on the transition gear shift stage and the transition value of the APS.
