  • Patent number: 9815517
Abstract: A shock absorber, which is particularly applicable to bicycles, includes a secondary chamber whose volume selectively contributes to a volume associated with a primary chamber of the shock. A piston is supported by a compression rod and cooperates with a shock tube to define the primary chamber. The secondary chamber is fluidly isolated from the primary chamber by a valve arrangement positioned proximate the piston. A plunger extends along a longitudinal length of the shock and forms or interacts with the valve arrangement such that the secondary chamber is selectively fluidly connected to the primary chamber so the primary and secondary chambers of the shock assembly contribute to the performance of the shock for a selected portion of shock travel.

  • Patent number: 9784264
Abstract: A pump assembly for supplying negative pressure to a pneumatic brake booster, wherein the pump assembly has at least two elastic displacement elements which are moved by connecting rods, the connecting rods each being rotatably mounted on an eccentric element. The eccentric element has a bearing seat element and a force element. At least two eccentric elements are secured next to each other on a drive shaft that rotates about an axis of rotation and an interlocking anti-rotation device is provided that determines a defined angular position of the eccentric elements relative to each other about the axis of rotation. In order to improve the ease of assembly and simplify the manufacturability, the anti-rotation device is designed as shaped elements of the bearing seat element in such a way that they engage in each other in an interlocking manner when the eccentric elements are in a defined angular position relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20170274886
Abstract: In an electric motor-pump assembly, two working diaphragms, each delimiting a working chamber, are cyclically driven by a crank drive via connecting rods. The crank drive includes eccentrics for each connecting rod, which are placed on an axial bearing journal in the extension of an output shaft of an electric motor. In order to ensure a rotationally fixed connection between the eccentrics and the bearing journal to be produced and in order to ensure an angularly precise position of the two eccentrics, each of the eccentrics is connected to the bearing journal by a positively locking engagement.

  • Publication number: 20170260834
Abstract: An example method includes introducing a downhole tool string into a main wellbore of a multilateral wellbore that includes a lateral wellbore that extends from the main wellbore. The downhole tool string includes a wand and a kickover knuckle joint coupled to the wand. A first measurement is obtained with an orientation measurement device, and an angular orientation of the kickover knuckle joint and the wand is aligned with the lateral wellbore as based on the first measurement. The downhole tool string is then advanced into the lateral wellbore and a second measurement is obtained with the orientation measurement device within the lateral wellbore. The second measurement is compared with known deviation survey measurements corresponding to the lateral wellbore to verifying a location of the downhole tool string in the lateral wellbore. A wellbore stimulation operation is then undertaken with the downhole tool string within the lateral wellbore.
