Patent number: 8019839Abstract: An enhanced network adapter framework, in which parameters are stored in a configuration table, the parameters being customized for a network and an application. A network adapter customized for the network and the application is instantiated based on invoking a generic network adapter which externally references the configuration table, and communication between the application and the network is effected using the instantiated network adapter.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2009Date of Patent: September 13, 2011Assignee: Accenture Global Services LimitedInventor: Marcio Jose Lopes

Publication number: 20110038737Abstract: A system and a method for adding and subtracting stages of compression to a compressor as and when the compressor requires them. If the compressor needs only a low pressure ratio, then the system and method allow the compressor to operate with only a primary pumping circuit spinning, while available additional stages, forming a secondary pumping circuit, and which may be required at other times when the needed pressure ratios increase, are decoupled from the rotating shaft, so that the compressor pumps at its most efficient and flexible point. Further, a system and method for adding and subtracting stages of compression to a compressor in order to increase and decrease the pumping capacity as and when required to satisfy a given load requirement.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 8, 2008Publication date: February 17, 2011Inventors: Ronald David Conry, Henrik Vestergaard Joergensen, Jose Lopes Alvares, JR.

Publication number: 20060266322Abstract: The present invention provides a piston for an internal combustion engine. The design of the piston is such that the contact between the piston ring and the groove, during operation and especially in the moments of higher pressure on the ring, is as distributed as possible, in order to minimize the wear rate of the lateral walls of the groove.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 30, 2006Publication date: November 30, 2006Applicant: Mahle Metal Leve S.A.Inventors: Antonio Tomanik, Clayton Zabeu, Germano De Almeida, Jose Lopes

Publication number: 20060196918Abstract: The integrated recovery process uses an electrode or added metal chosen and prepared after an accurate analysis of the base metal including not only the composition of the base metal but the physical condition of the machine or component and the process through which the base metal has been obtained. Prior to welding, the machine or component to be recovered has initial surface cleaning to reveal not only the known failure but every area likely to fail in the future.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2005Publication date: September 7, 2006Inventor: Jose Lopes

Publication number: 20050028779Abstract: A piston for an internal combustion engine of the type presenting circumferential grooves (10), each groove (10) housing a respective piston ring (20), at least one first upper groove (10) presenting a profile having upper and lower lateral walls (11, 12) radially outwardly inclined towards the piston top by an angle of inclination such as to compensate, at least partially, the deformations to which the piston is submitted when in a critical higher load operational condition, in order to maximize the distribution of the seating contact between at least one of the upper and lower lateral walls (21, 22) of the piston ring (20) and an adjacent lateral wall (11, 12) of the groove (10), as well as to minimize the wear that determines the useful life of the groove (10).Type: ApplicationFiled: August 13, 2002Publication date: February 10, 2005Applicant: MahleMetal Leve S.A.Inventors: Antonio Tomanik, Clayton Zabeu, Germano Almeida, Jose Lopes

Patent number: 6200049Abstract: A cosmetic dispenser having a decorative shell, and a cap which normally snap fittingly engages the upper portion of the body. Interiorly there is a spline tube having a pair of opposed vertical tracks terminating in an upper catch and a lower catch. A riser cup is provided with a plurality of circumferentially downwardly spaced legs which deflect outwardly to resiliently engage the interior portion of the spline tube. A relaxation taper at the lower portion of the spline tube receives the depending legs from the riser cup and thereby lets them expand to a relaxed condition in which condition they will retain their set. At the opposed portion of the motion, when the cup is near the top, provision is made for windows which are short vertical slots in the cup and in coordinated relationship with the helical track so that at the upper portion of its motion the helical cup legs rest either in the vertical track of the spline tube or in the windows.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2000Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: Plastic-Envases, c.a.Inventors: Joaquim José Lopes Pinhel, José T. Patent number: 5932867Abstract: An identification device for removable mounting on a hooked member. The identification device includes a small cylindrically shaped member dimensioned to receive a free end of a hooked member. A cloth patch is adhered to an outside surface of the cylinder. The patch includes optically coded laser threads. When the threads are exposed to light, the threads lase, and emit identification signals (signal codes). Each thread's signal code may provide, for example, a unique identification number.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 1997Date of Patent: August 3, 1999Assignee: White Conveyors, Inc.Inventors: Bernard S. Speckhart, Jose Lopes

Patent number: 5660261Abstract: A high-speed loader loads garments onto a conveyor using two metering devices, each controlled by a computer. The second metering device is located closer to the conveyor than the first, holds only one hanger at a time and can easily be cleared to allow garments on the conveyor to pass unimpeded. The metering devices allow the computer to triple-buffer the hangers by dividing the loader into three distinct sections. The first buffer is located before the first metering device and can hold several garments physically far enough away from the conveyor to allow garments to pass. Hangers are released by the first metering device one at a time to a second buffer, which is between the first and second metering device. The second metering device is a simple air stop positioned close to the conveyor. The location of the second metering device minimizes the length and uncertainty of the transit time of the hanger from the loader to the conveyor.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1995Date of Patent: August 26, 1997Assignee: White Conveyors, Inc.Inventors: Bernard S. Speckhart, Ramon R. Duterte, Jr., Jose Lopes, Craig M. Davidson
