  • Publication number: 20170001760
Abstract: A storage bag shifts between a flat configuration with first and second sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other, and a stand-up configuration with the sidewalls separated. In the stand-up configuration, the bag has a substantially flat base (i) formed by the bottom portion of the first and second sidewalls, and (ii) outlined by at least one of the shift regions of the sidewalls. An angle ? is defined between each of (i) the first shift region of the first sidewall and an adjacent edge of the bag and (ii) the first shift region of the second sidewall and an adjacent edge of the bag, and (b) a differing angle ? is defined between each of (i) the second shift region of the first sidewall and a bottom edge of the bag and (ii) the second shift region of the second sidewall and the bottom edge of the bag.

  • Publication number: 20170001401
Abstract: A process of manufacturing a roll of plastic bags. The process includes forming a tubular blown film, and collapsing the tubular blown film so that the tubular blown film includes a first side, a second side, a first edge, and a second edge. Openings are cut in the collapsed tubular blown film, and sealing closure mechanisms are inserted through the openings into the collapsed tubular blown film. The sealing closure mechanisms are then fixed to the collapsed tubular blown film.

  • Patent number: 9505525
Abstract: A storage bag includes first and second sidewalls that are directly connected without a pleat between the sidewalls at a bottom of the bag. The bag includes a plurality of shift regions at bottom portions of the sidewalls. The bag can be moved about the shift regions such that the bag is shiftable between a flat configuration with the first and second sidewalls positioned adjacent to each other and a stand-up configuration with the first and second sidewalls separated from each other. In the stand-up configuration, the bag is shifted about the shift regions such that a substantially flat base is formed for the bag.

  • Patent number: 9469442
Abstract: Plastic bags, rolls of plastic bags, and tubular blown film processes for making rolls of plastic bags. The rolls of plastic bags include a tubular blown film with a plurality of perforation lines along which plastic bags are separated from the roll. The perforation lines are formed so that portions of the lips of the plastic bags are offset from each other. The offset portions of the lips facilitate opening of the bags.

  • Publication number: 20140205215
Abstract: A storage bag includes a first side surface and a second side surface connected to the first side surface so as to form an interior of the bag with an opening to the interior. First and second closure profiles are connected to respective side surfaces and positioned adjacent to the opening of the bag. Each closure profile includes an interlocking member that extends along the length of the respective closure profile and includes a plurality of dimples provided adjacent to the interlocking member. The plurality of dimples provided on the first closure profile comprise a first shape. The plurality of dimples provided on the second closure profile comprise a second shape. The first shape of the dimples on the first closure profile is dissimilar to the second shape of the dimples on the second closure profile.

  • Publication number: 20140153846
Abstract: A storage bag has first and second closure profiles adjacent to an opening to the interior of the bag. The first and second closure profiles have dimples that are aligned opposite to each other. By way of example, the dimples of the first closure profile are formed as a concave surface on the side of the first closure profile facing the interior of the bag and a convex surface on the side of the first closure profile facing the outside of the bag. Engaging of the dimples of the first closure profile with the dimples of the second closure profile provides at least one of a visual indication and a tactile sensation, when the interlocking member of the first closure profile is blocked with that of the second.
