  • Patent number: 5536474
Abstract: Fluids kept under high pressure in one or several balancing cells (C1, C2) inside a thermostat-controlled enclosure (14) at about 200.degree. C. are extracted by introducing into the enclosure a sampling cell (1) capable of withstanding pressures of the order of 150 MPa, fastening cell (1) to a connection element (24) linked to balancing cells, taking samples and removing the cell from the thermostat-controlled enclosure, with all of these operations being easily conducted from outside. After possible weighing of the sampling cell, a transfer device thereafter allows the sampling cell to be communicated with measuring and analysis devices such as a gasometer associated with a separating bottle, a solvent injection means, etc. Operations are synchronized by a programmed microcomputer (MC). The preferred application is processing geological samples.

  • Patent number: 5213763
Abstract: A method for transferring a fluid sample from a first chamber to a second chamber separated from the first chamber involves opening a closed cavity defined between the end portions of two coaxially arranged cylindrical rods while in the first chamber, then closing the open cavity in the first chamber to enclose the fluid sample, transferring the closed cavity from the first chamber to the second chamber by effecting axial movement of the rods relative to the chambers, then opening the closed cavity in the second chamber to allow the fluid sample to enter the second chamber. A device for carrying out this method is provided with first and second rods arranged to move along a common axis, the device including an arrangement for effecting displacement of the rods relative to each other and relative to the chambers or displacement of the rods together while the end portions of the rods are in contact to effect transfer of the fluid sample from one chamber to the other.

  • Patent number: 5200226
Abstract: A dairy preparation comprising a mixture of skimmed milk with vegetable oil. The animal fat contained in the milk, rich in saturated fatty acids and cholesterol, is removed and largely replaced with oils rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, for instance olive, sunflower and peanut oils. The preparation obtained maintains all the advantage of skimmed milk and is added with vitamins A, D.sub.3 and C. The process of making the dairy preparation starts with the use of liquid or powdered skimmed milk, the latter being reconstituted at a controlled temperature of at least 70.degree. C., and then combined with a hot water-oil emulsion, the necessary and suitable amounts of vitamins A, D.sub.3 and C being added. The preparation is subjected to a sudden heating at temperature 150.degree. C. for no longer than 4 seconds.
